Can you stand another chapter on my foot

? So...if you can't just don't read any further.

I had another followup appointment with podiatrist today and she is happy that foot is looking better. She said she was really worried about it after my last visit because of all the bruising that was there and actually lost sleep over it. Why can't all doctors be so concerned? Because I am an "active" woman, she really cleaned everything out that she could in my foot so I wouldn't have any future problems and that can cause extra trauma. Anyway, it is looking better and I had to give in detail exactly how it felt. It is somewhat better but it is still very tender. Sneakers/workout shoes aggravate it the most. The worst discomfort/pain is where the bunion was. So...off to PT again to strengthen the joint area and the tendon that was lengthened. I do hope it improves so I can do lots of walking in Asheville. I have a couple of weeks yet for that.

I did take a step class today. I still don't have bounce in my step, but it wasn't as painful as it was before surgery. Maybe there really is some progress. Don't have to go back for 6 weeks and that should do it unless the neuroma in my other foot doesn't get worse. If it starts to feel worse, I am to try some cortisone shots before it gets as bad as right foot. I have learned my lesson and no more surgeries for me.

OK...there is the update and I am almost there!! Yay!!!

Yes, I can stand another chapter on your foot. I'm just glad the podiatrist sees progress. If I'd been through what you have, I know I wouldn't be taking step classes. I'd be sitting on my growing tush waiting for my sedan chair to take me to 4-Bucks....more power to you!

Hope it continues to improve.

Grace, so glad to hear your foot is getting better. Take it easy on it. We don't want to have to push you around in a grocery cart in Asheville. ;-)

So glad to hear the foot is healing.I can't imagine having to deal with all you have had to with your surgeries.

Sounds like you have a great dr.

Couldn't decide between the Good Luck, Hugs, or Prayer icons. You've had a time with your feet. Hopefully, things are finally on the mend from this surger - it's encouraging that the doctor is encouraged.

Follow orders! We also want you to be able to do some walking in Asheville!
