How did everyone do on their Sept goals?

How did everyone do on their goals for September. I went back and read mine and I'm thrilled that I actually surpassed my exercise goal, was on the money with eating and selfful care. The only thing I've really fallen down on is my goal to read a book this month. But, I did go to the library this week and have a hold on a few, so that's a step in the right direction.

I'm really happy that I didn't make that "weight goal" thing again. I did it every month and never made it!!! This month I feel like I've really accomplished what I set out to do!!! Keeping my goals the same for next month!

Great goals Lori!! I'm really done with the weight thing as a goal!! It seems to me that over the last couple of years, it's always been the "thing" that I judged my fitness and health by, but it's just not real for me. I've busted my butt the last month, gotten good cardio done and my weight has only changed a couple of pounds. Pooey!!! I know I'm more fit than when I started this at the end of August and I'm damn happy about it!!!!! And way more fit than I was a couple of years ago. That's enough for me at the moment!

This month I switched my focus to eating well and it's been wonderful. Unfortunately, I can't just turf the junk from my house 'cause my kids would riot and there would be anarchy!! LOL I'm not denying myself anything, but I'll only have a very little bit of the "goodies". Each time I've fallen off the bus and gotten back on, it's been easier.

Good luck on October's goals. I know you'll do great!

I did fine with my Sept goals because I didn't make any because of my foot surgery. I am happy that I didn't gain any weight with recuperating and taking it easy. So...Sept was pretty good for me.

I am so proud of you for doing and surpassing your goals for Sept. Seems like you found what works for you, Shar. Good luck with Oct.

Nice to see you posting....

I didn't post any goals for September. I neither exercised fiendishly nor stuck slavishly to any eating program. Just tried to maintain the status quo. Happy to say I did. My weight is still within 2 lbs of my SBD loss, my BP and blood chemistry readings were thrilling, and I feel good in my clothes. Yes, I would like to see a lower number on my scale (I don't think that's ever going to change), but I'm not getting sick over it. I want my ice cream and I have it. I want a cookie once in a while and I have it. The difference now is it's not every day and it's not a whole container or package at once. I'm not a binge-er, never was; I just eat a lot of all kinds of food and needed to change the proportions of what I ate at my meals. The SBD helped me to do that.

Shar, you sound like you are on a total good-health / good-life high. I love how positive and happy you are with yourself and your life.

Ya know Donna, I think you really did hit the nail on the head!! I'm feeling pretty darn content with my life these days! I'm not thin, and I'm not thirty , but I'm sure happy!

I didn't do so well. I guess 50% is better than nothing at all.

My goals:

1) up the bicycle ride to 10 mi each time by the end of the month

I made it to 8.7 mi on Tues. so I guess I'm getting close

2) be more consistent on workouts, at least a total of 1 1/2 hrs/day 5 days a week

I haven't done the daily walks at work like I was doing so well at so the time has dropped considerably but I am riding my bicycle more.

3) be more concious of what I eat, cook healther foods

I have improved in this area, except for the past couple of days but it is almost time for AF to visit.

4) improve on my spiritual life, try to not let the little things bother me

I have got back on track with this but only recently.

I will need to work harder in October. It is hard for me to believe that September is over already. I have a bunch of birthdays coming up between now and Christmas so it is going to be hard to stay on the good eating program.
