1. What's the first thing you do when you change a tire (besides call for help! ;-)?

2. What kind of pets do you have, how old are they, and what are their names?

3. Do you have a family fall tradition?

4. Did you learn anything from any of your grandparents or did they have an effect on who you are?

5. If you could make a T-shirt with a motto that is appropriate for you, humorous or otherwise, what would it say?

Um...the first thing I do is swear loudly and profusely at the offending tire, then I kick something really hard and have a mini-tantrum.

My Fridays are not complete without the Friday Five. I missed it last week during all the activities.

1. What's the first thing you do when you change a tire (besides call for help! ;-)? Get the spare tire and jack out of the car.

2. What kind of pets do you have, how old are they, and what are their names? None here.

3. Do you have a family fall tradition? Yep! We go to a pumpkin patch to select the perfect pumpkin for me to carve. I get rather elaborate, having done the Statue of Liberty, Carolina Panther logo, a Cool Dood, a version of The Scream, etc.

4. Did you learn anything from any of your grandparents or did they have an effect on who you are? Sadly, we didn't spend much time with any of them. Two were gone by the time I was born, and the other two way in another country and on the opposite coast. My "adopted" grandparents, family friends, I remember fondly for their stories and humor, something I hope to retain as I age.

5. If you could make a T-shirt with a motto that is appropriate for you, humorous or otherwise, what would it say? I like my PMS tagline.... Hmm, I also like "Under Construction - Thank You for your Patience" in a Christian sense.

1. What's the first thing you do when you change a tire (besides call for help! ;-)? Check the spare.

2. What kind of pets do you have, how old are they, and what are their names? 3 Cats: Doolan is 12, Doncee is 10, Buddy is 2

3. Do you have a family fall tradition? Not really.

4. Did you learn anything from any of your grandparents or did they have an effect on who you are? Yes, but I didn't know it then. My grandfather was very good to us and my mother, who was raising the four of us herself. He brought her food shopping every Saturday, mowed our lawn every week, and brought us treats. My grandmother was very strong and independent. My Nana was very kind and patient, and prayerful.

5. If you could make a T-shirt with a motto that is appropriate for you, humorous or otherwise, what would it say? "Everything has an end, except a sausage, which has two."

1. I don't change tires, I call AAA. If I did, it would be to drive far onto the shoulder from the breakdown lane - they use them for rush-hour traffic up here like a regular travel lane. Stupid decision. Stupider drivers.

2. No pets. Unless you count my nieces and nephew....

3. The annual apple/pumpkin picking/hay-ride trip. Hundreds of orchards north and west of Boston to pick from. A couple of them offer hot-air balloon rides. If I weren't so chicken, I'd take one.

4. My mother's father - compassionate and kind and giving even when he had little of his own. I didn't learn enough of that from him.

5. I can't remember if I'm the good twin or the evil one.

1. What's the first thing you do when you change a tire (besides call for help! ;-)?

I've never changed one, but I'd be inclined to put the car in park and turn it off!

2. What kind of pets do you have, how old are they, and what are their names? No pets at the moment.

3. Do you have a family fall tradition? Yes, we go to Goldstream Park to watch the salmon spawn. It never fails to amaze me how far up the river they can swim against the current. Plus, it's absolutely beautiful there with all of the trees turning colour.

4. Did you learn anything from any of your grandparents or did they have an effect on who you are? I learned how to knit from my maternal grandmother. Paternal grandparents were dead before I was born.

5. If you could make a T-shirt with a motto that is appropriate for you, humorous or otherwise, what would it say? Can't think of anything at the moment. I may get back to you.

1. What's the first thing you do when you change a tire (besides call for help! ;-)?I don't do tires........actually besides pull over to a safe spot? Find the jack? Is this a trick question?

2. What kind of pets do you have, how old are they, and what are their names? Bingo our dog and he is a Border Collie and he is 13 years old. Katie has a hamster named Spinner and he is about 11 months old. Do fish count?

3. Do you have a family fall tradition? No traditions here, but the boys started asking for the Sunday meal, which is usually a roast of some kind.

4. Did you learn anything from any of your grandparents or did they have an effect on who you are? Gee wiz Rhonda that is a hard question. I would say they all had an effect on my life. They were around a long time. My Nanny passed the year before I got married, my Gagi before Billy was born, and my Bapchi right before I had Katie and my Grandad before Rob. The learn part, I an not sure I could pin point one thing in perticular.

5. If you could make a T-shirt with a motto that is appropriate for you, humorous or otherwise, what would it say? "MOM" I have been told that is what I am, that is what I look like, and that is how I act. Enough said!
