Good morning, Patty! So good to come to the board and see your Pattygram to get us jump started! ;-)

I know this will absolutely shock those of you who've known me a while, but I have been busy organizing a "greeting party" of sorts for Michael Moore when he comes to Metropolitan Park to speak this evening. I'm hoping we will have a good turnout. I was working on a large sign between midnight and 2 this morning and ran out of markers!! I really don't do my best work then anyway, but it just worked out that way. Will have to make a run to Michael's Arts and Crafts for some large markers.

I think I'm working at Republican Headquarters doing data entry today, but I haven't heard back for sure. It wouldn't upset me if they said they were all caught up. I still need to go by to pick up some Bush yard signs and bumper stickers for the rally this evening. I delivered 8 yard signs last night while I was doing other errands.

Good Morning,

So nice to have our Princess back where she belongs! It's a beautiful fall day here. Brrrr...Nancy! Nothing much planned on the agenda for today-can't be too much fun with a work day involved-although you just never know. My meals are planned for next week my shopping list ready to go for the mad dash of the shopping cart through the aisles. I've got some interesting menus planned from a Weight Watchers Cookbook. I've been in a real cooking slump and needed some new and fresh ideas. Just don't tell my family they get a bit scared when they ask what's for dinner and I tell them it's something new!

Best better get my butt in gear and finish getting ready for work-hope you all enjoy a Fabulous Friday!

I think I've already summed up my week, LOL! Got a run in on Wednesday (3 miles at a 9'34" mile pace - I'm working on my time). I scrubbed dat kitchen flaw yest'day, an' it sho'nuff shines. Man, it needed it. You could eat off of it now. Today vacuuming and bathrooms, and I'll try to get some weight work in.

Received some sad news regarding MIL's youngest sister who lived in England. Aunt Janet passed away late last night/early this morning from cancer. She'd been treated for cancer over the course of the year, but recent x-rays and scans revealed more cancer in other areas. The doctors determined it was inoperable last week or so. She's been in the hospital since, sedated and comfortable. She passed on in her sleep, her two grown children beside her. They said it was peaceful and that she was smiling. She walked with our Lord during this life, and I believe her smile was because she saw her Savior waiting for her. While we're sad in our own hearts, how glorious that must be for her! Her husband Michael survives her, but is in a nursing home with physical disabilities and suffering from dementia - when Janet first became sick, she could no longer care for him at home. Janet visited him daily, but he was not in a state to even recognize that she was ill. Perhaps that's merciful. She's also survived by her two children and one beautiful grandbaby whom she got to meet. So if you would say a prayer for Janet's family, and also the three remaining sisters as they cope with the death of their dear youngest sister.

This weekend ought to be nice. There's a fall festival at a nearby church, and they're hosting a 5K run which I might do. Later I'll take the Alster back for the kiddie games. Sunday we're doing an anthem that borders on gospel, and then I head back to the church later for a choir workshop. I've missed a number of rehearsals and don't have a grip on this year's Christmas cantata at all. Yeah, Christmas, gotta plan for that already!

I'm SO looking forward to Asheville!

Welcome back to the land of the living, Princess! I can't believe Jeanne conquered your kingdom for even a few days. Nervy thing, she was. Glad you're safe and sound.

DH and I are doing better. He did see the doctor yesterday and was actually peeved that he couldn't get in and out of there in 20 minutes. Doctor made him have a chest x-ray (no pneumonia, but a lot of congestion), and sent him on his way with prescriptions and samples. A course of Zithromax, nasal spray, and ear drops and he should be as good as new soon.

Did a so-so workout last night; I had big plans, but let them fall through. Dashing through Costco tonight, then a quick dinner, then off quite late to the dungeon and hopefully a better effort tonight.

Have a good day, everyone!

Hi, everyone sounds so busy. My DH got home a day early (he works on the road) so he is having a nice long weekend. We will get to go out to dinner and a movie tonight when I get off work. I think we will go to "Ladder 49". I was good at work today and didn't partake of the bakery donuts, I just had a cup of coffee and watched everyone else eat them. I am such a sugar nut that it is best if I just stay away from them sometimes one donut can lead to 3 or 4 more.

I am going to hang out, clean house, do laundry, play with puppies and go for two 3 mile runs this weekend. I'll also find some time for some at home pilates. I will also plan meals and snacks so we can eat healthy.

Have a great day and weekend.

I know it is late in the day but I figured better late then never. Had an exciting night last night. Around 10 PM we had police helicopter circling over and around our house and surrounding 4 blocks looking for a armed robber. Nice, huh? Met my neighboor outside in the front and decided we better head inside, lock our doors and wait for some information. Finally around 12:30 the air got quiet. We left our back light on and our door locked. They did not catch the guy. But at some point the police were in my girl friends back yard with flashlights, and dogs, and she is only 2 blocks over. I have done well these past few days on Core. I made some yummy fish last night called "Hake", has anyone ever heard of it before? It was similar to cod, I baked it on my Pampered Chef Stone in the oven. Also made a birthday cake for my boss and his brother. I went into work early this morning and had breakfast with everyone, even though it was my day off. I stayed until 12 and got somemore work done. Headed home and had my MIL over for lunch. Now I am still trying to clean house and "cook" that laundry. Katie has a friend over right now, so that is keeping her busy and she has riding at 7. Bill hired a new mechanic which will start on Monday, hope this brings him home earlier then 8:30. Bill and the boys are going over to CT tomorrow to work on a pit crew for a friend of Billy's who drives a roundy, round car. So Katie and I will be doing the girls thing. Time to pull out that new tape and get started on that again. Well that was my day and my plans for the next few hours..........such is my life. Hope you all had a wonderful TGIF and your weekend looks joyful!!
