I may be on the 11 PM news. LOL!

What a day! What a day! After approx. 2 1/2 hours sleep, I worked to finish my sign and spent most of the day until 4:30 doing data entry at headquarters. I left from there for the Michael Moore event. We had about 3 dozen people in our group. It got pretty heated at times. It's amazing how intolerant the people of the party that purports to be so tolerant and pro-First Amendment rights is. You have to hear the stuff, see the gestures, and have burning cigarettes thrown at you to believe it!!

Our local NBC news station interviewed me for quite a while and interviewed several others in our group. Of course, that means if we're lucky we may get a total of 10 seconds air time. We did have some people who wanted to learn more, were open-minded, and engaged in some interesting discussions. I enjoy those.

I was about ready to punch a woman who came up to me to "enlighten" me and put her hand on me. Normally, I am pretty low key, but I forcefully told her to get her hand off me. She became quite irrational and personal, all the while claiming to be a Christian, but accusing me of being a member of a far right wing religious group. I told her she knew nothing about me, she could talk to me, but she could not put her hands on me. The rest is tedious, but you get the picture...

After standing on concrete for 3 1/2 hours, my feet and lower back are pretty sore. Actually, so is my neck. I could really use a hot soak, but am listening to Hannity and Colmes first. LOL!

Hope you all had a good day! I'll have to catch up with everyone's activities tomorrow.

Sounds like a hot time in the old town! That was a good turnout, considering your comments yesterday about how it takes a long time to get the rest of the various Rep groups organized.

You showed a lot of restraint with that woman, on a lot of levels.

So how much time did the news give you on the air? And how many of MM's acolytes showed up?

BTW, you have mail....

I may have gotten 20 to 30 seconds of air time. It's so hard to judge. I was in such shock about how I looked that it all became a blur. I MUST go back on the South Beach Diet!!! I hardly recognized myself. Tim said he was proud of me, that I looked professional and not like the typical idiot. I said, "Oh,

Hey, 20 seconds is considerable air time. I would get too aggravated as a political activist, so I'm glad girlfriends like you have it in you!

You go girl!! I am so impressed with everything you do and work so hard for. I wish I could have seen you on TV.

I will remember not to mess with you at AF time. Good thing you will be well over it in Asheville!! But, then again, we wouldn't have to worry about anyone messing with us.

I am so proud of you too!!

Thanks, everybody! I appreciate your kind words. Boy, Flo, lack of sleep, and the emotions of yesterday hit hard, and it was 1 today before I stayed up. I really needed to be off my feet and rest. The 2nd day has always been rough, but it has gotten increasingly so this last year.

I had wanted to go to the beach, but didn't dare stay up on my feet away from a restroom that long, plus, I just really needed a break. I do need to go to the grocery store, and Rob wants to check out a new Bust Buy that has opened by the mall. He has an old gift certificate he discovered that's burning a hole in his pocket. ;-) It things improve, I may ride down to the beach later in the afternoon. It's a beautiful, sunny day in the mid-80's. With the sea breeze, I think it's supposed to be only 82 at the beach this afternoon. Fall is definitely here.

Wish I had a video of the news blurb, so that every time I start to eat something I shouldn't I could look at it and lose my craving!

No other plans for today. Guess I just did my Saturday post here. Hope everyone has an enjoyable Saturday.
