Deb,I'm not on WW but I read something about the Core Plan in Shape magazine.I thought it sounded pretty good.It caught my eye because I'm not good at food dairies. In the article it talked about the Core list which you make choices from. Then you can eat anything you want that is not on the list as long as

I just started reading about it on the ww online, of course the best thing to do is go to a meeting.

Thanks Nancy.

I did great with the points and points works, but I felt "bad" all the time for going over each day, way over.

Hi, Deb...I am supposed to be doing the core plan on WW. I did start it and I do like it a lot. (I just have been under too much stress right now to follow any plan right now.) The core foods are how I eat normally, when I am eating healthy. I like that there is no journaling and no counting points except for the 35 extra a week. I also like eating until satisfied. It is very similar to SBD.

People at the meeting who were doing it were losing weight. I also think it is flexible enough to do even when eating out. The only thing I can't get past is the FF cheese, butter and sour cream. I would rather do without it. I am ok with FF milk...drink that all the time anyway.

I might be able to help you with any questions you have. Maybe your starting it will get me to follow it better. I can't even tell you how many things I would like to fit into again.

Sorry about the stress going on for you Grace---when I'm stressed, I eat.

Hey Deb, sorry I did not get to respond sooner. Being offline really hurts a gal! What do you want to know about the WW Core plan. I am doing it and I have been very successful. I have lost just a little over 5 pounds in 5 weeks and I really do not feel deprived. You can eat any of the food on the Core list, as much as you want but only eat until you are satisfied, not stuffed. Meats, vegtables, fruits, nonfat milk products are all included. The extra 35 points are to be used for the food not on the Core list, such as bread, regular pasta, breakfast cereals, etc. It is a little confusing but it does work. I do suggest going to a meeting and getting more insight. But if you have any more questions, just repost or send me an email. I have some things I have purchased which have helped me stay focused. Like the puffed rice cereal, sprinkled with an equal and skim milk for breakfast. Hard boiled eggs ( I only eat the whites ) in the frig, the fat-free chocolate pudding, the WW smoothies. Things like that have helped, I have to fight hard to stay away from the processed foods like Rice-a-roni, Kraft Mac & Cheese, and Instant Mashed potatoes. You can eat couscous, which I have grown to enjoy. Brown rice is not a favorite and I hate whole wheat pasta, I would rather do without. Baked potatoes for dinner with FF Sour cream are great, and I have taken red potatoes with the skin on and sliced them into wedges put 2 teaspns of Olive Oil, a dash of garlic, and oregeno and baked them in the oven for 35 minutes, yum! Well I have rambled enough, let me know if I can be of any further help.
