Hi there,

I came across your board and thought it could be fun to share fitness goals on a board where people are MY age, and understand the challenges!

Welcome, Maggie! I remember you from the South Beach Diet Board. Congratulations on your weight loss and all the positive health changes that have resulted from your change of diet (WOE).

Welcome to the board. It's a great group of women!

Congratulations on all you've accomplished so far. You've made some huge steps that many people never make. Good for you.

On the fitness - it sounds to me a little like you're setting yourself up for failure. You've got so many things listed... Make a commitment to do the yoga plus a day a week of something. Once you've got 3 days a week (you can *always* do more stuph if you're up for it), add another day of something. Make sure you plan a "rest day" every week. Your body needs the rest particularly if you're weight training. (Muscles grow on the rest days.)

You may be just fine with everything you've proposed, but I know how easy it is for me to discouraged by not doing what I'm "supposed to" today and dropping off the wagon entirely for a week or month... It's a lot better psychologically for me to be able to say "I planned on 3 things this week and I actually did *4*!" rather than "I planned on 6 things this week and I only did 4"

Just some ideas.

You sound like you're doing great. Keep up the good work.

Hi, Maggie - Been wondering when you were going to get over here from SB! Your discipline and your whole success story are really inspirational, not to mention your husband's. Reinspired me enough to get back to SB Sunday - Phase I.5, for lack of a better way to describe it. Put a couple of pounds back on and I don't like them! I seem to be entering a high-energy phase, too, although I can't figure out why - should be good for getting me back on track with my workouts. For once, everything is in harmonc convergence.

Hope to see you around here a lot!
