Tell us about your day. Is everyone healthy now? Did you stay warm? Who has snow?

I went to Mom and Dad's and was able to persuade Dad to go out riding around. He wanted to go to the cemetery to see his mother's grave and to look at lots he has. Not my first choice, but it was a gorgeous, spring-like day and it does him good to get out. We went there and walked around a little. Also, went to their office and got maps and locations of other family members. I took him through Burger King to get some lunch and stopped by the bread store to get the kinds of bread they like. I also got some Hostess cupcakes and 6 of the little fruit pies. We managed to put 9 LBS. on him since his last dr. visit!!! Hurray! He seemed to enjoy getting out. I'd have gone by one of his brother's house, but there was no answer when we called. Mom was able to get her hair done, so she felt better too.

Right before we left to go riding, I could tell my vision was going. Sure enough, I got an ocular migraine out of the blue. It wasn't as bad as the vision loss when I used to get full blown migraines, so I was able to drive. I never would have been able to with the old kind. My vision came back within 25 minutes, but I had a dull ache afterward and it made it hard to think of words when I was talking. It's a very weird feeling. Thankfully, it's all gone.

Rob finished painting his room today and has part of his stuff back in. I must admit it's pretty striking. Of course, the bulk of the walls will be covered with music and surfing posters. Not quite sure why he bothered to paint it. Oh, well, it makes him happy.

Tim managed to get off a little early today, so he could try to catch up on sleep. If he's lucky, he'll sleep through till morning. Maybe that will help get rid of his cold.

The pool guy came out today and called while I was at Mom and Dad's. It's not going to be cheap to get the pool back to where it should be, but I think his monthly service price is in line with other places. He'll actually come out weekly. Love it! Rob took Tiger to the vet for me, so I didn't have to pick him up. He goes back in a week to get his stitches out.

I think I'm going to order Dr. Susan Lark's newsletter and get some free reports about women's health with it. I am impressed with her research about weight loss and gain after 40, insulin resistance, the far reaching effects of hormone imbalances, etc. The info. is long at the following link, but I think you'll find it interesting, if you want to check it out: http://www.drlark.com/order/women_wise_cures/wwcsq_page1.asp?promo_code=9B4250&key_code=9B4250

Almost time for the O'Reilly Factor, plus I've got some laundry going and some dishes that need to be done.

TGIF! It's officially the weekend!

Do you ever have problems with comprehension or speech with your migraines? I used to have trouble sometimes comprehending what people were saying. They'd have to speak slowly at times for me to grasp what they were saying. Of course, most of the time, I didn't want anyone talking me to at all, and I was horizontal in a totally dark room. So glad those days are gone. Sure would love it if yours could be conquered.

I read on the internet that the rest of the winter is supposed to be colder than normal, for those who are concerned about global warming. Wish I'd read the whole article. Hope it doesn't get too wild and wooly once you have the chickens back.

You're baking like I used to during the winter. It hasn't been cold enough here to feel like winter yet. My tulip tree and hibiscus are so pretty that I was thinking of taking pictures of them today. If the pool had been clean, I could've gone swimming. Tomorrow is supposed to be near 80. I actually saw robins twice. Didn't see a single one last year, and robins in January are my sign that spring will be here in a couple months.

I see you had a surge of energy (maybe from the carbs) with your de-cluttering. I was doing so well, but the last couple of days my get-up-and-go got up and went! I'd really like for it to come back.

I guess everyone else is out partying tonight... ;-)

Sounds as though Sarah had an important session with the counselor. Maybe some major progress was made. Sure hope so. I think you're handling it well.

Wow, let me know how it goes with Dr. Ron. I'd love to have someone work those miracles on me. I've had IBS in varying degrees since I was 22, but it's been a lot better in the last couple years. I know I do better when I don't eat wheat products or dairy and other trigger foods, but it's hard not to. Water used to be a real problem for me, believe it or not. I'm going to check out that web site.
