Good Morning,

A cold and windy day here on LI! I would have loved an outside walk this morning but the wind changed my mind about that so the treadmill it was.

It's a very quiet morning around here. We had a nice breakfast with DD and her BF and we're all just sitting around. I've been looking through some Cooking Light magazines for some dinner ideas and putting meals together for this coming week. I'm putting together my grocery list and then off to the grocery store. I'm putting a roast chicken in for this evening and I'm going to try a cinnamon apple cake recipe from Cooking Light for dessert. The afternoon will probably be spent trying to catch up on some laundry.

Nothing really new and exciting around here. Work was a beast yesterday and a boss that was in a "mood". Super glad that it's Saturday and looking forward to a relaxing weekend. I think I need one.

Nancy-thinking of all of you on this very special day!

Hope everyone has a spectacular Saturday!

I saw something about kettle bells last week. I think it was in one of the magazines I got. I thought they looked a little awkward, but I guess you never know until you try.

I've been waiting all my life for decent file cabinets...I get my furniture this Friday and I hope filing drawers were included...like I said I ordered this stuff so long ago I can't remember everything in the order.

It's chilly here (49), but at least the sun is out today and it's supposed to hit the low 60's.

Nancy, have a fabulous time on this red letter day for your DS. We'll want to see pictures, of course.

I spent most of yesterday at Mom and Dad's. Dad was doing pretty well. I visited with him while Mom got her hair done. We decided to go out for lunch and were going to go to Hardee's, when Dad suddenly thought about the chili and little hamburgers at Krystal, so I made a quick lane change and that's what we had for lunch. Nothing fancy, but getting out does him good. The tile guys were there installing the grout on the new wall tile and the new tub was in. I must say I did well picking out the tile. ;-) Mom seems very happy with it. It'll be interesting to see the new floor tile, and I raelly can't wait to get some new wallcovering in there. I think what's in there is about 45 years old!!! Can't say they didn't get their money's worth from it.

I left about 2:45 and gave Tim a call to let him know. Turns out he'd decided to leave work then too. I was in shock! Can't blame him, because he was working on spread sheets until 3 AM and got up at 6:30, but lately he's never able to get away. I still beat him home, because people always sidetrack him. We both decided a nap would be good. I had trouble trying to sleep even though I felt tired, so just dozed off and on and got up, but other than waking up long enough for a bowl of cereal he was out for the night.

Erin called last night to give me an update about things at work and her job possibility. They had been to Joe's dad and step-mom's house for dinner. Joe and Jackson were in the other car. I thought it seemed awfully quiet. :-) I read magazines a while, fixed a pizza for Rob and friend, and washed my hair and stuff before I finally turned in after midnight.

Can't get over how much pollen is everywhere so early in the year. Maybe I'll get to finish spreading leaves around shrubs today. Tim has a meeting at 2:00, so it depends on how long that lasts and if he's up for doing anything fun or just away from the house.

Lori, I hope you're feeling better. You guys have sure had some wicked weather out there. Looks as though the NE is in for a nor'easter too. I hope everyone stays safe and warm. After reading about the price of citrus already being 2 to 3 times higher in CA, I'm especially thankful to have my tangelo tree. They won't last all that much longer, but at least I'll have them for a while.

Have a agreat day!

Good Morning All,

Blue sky and sunshine for me again. Better enjoy it before our so called winter weather arrives on us tomorrow :-). Nothing really planned, maybe an errand or two. I refuse to buy clothes until I lose some of this weight. So I'm trying to avoid the stores. Even though there's not much in my closet for work each day that fits! H is frying fish for dinner, FRIED..I know....but this is his Saturday dinner ritual. I'm truly trying to make other changes so I'll go with it. I do plan on another dose of treadmill later today.

Nancy - hope your day is great!!

J-Deb - sounds like you have a wonderful life!

Hope you all have a terrific day.
