I know it's still fairly early, especially for you west coast ladies, but I thought I'd go ahead and start the check-in thread. How did your week start out?

Today was one of those catch up on errands days. I was at the health food store, World Market, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Walmart, the cleaners, the Dollar Store, CVS, Hallmark, and another fairly large haul at the grocery store. Now that I'm actually cooking again, I'm having to start going to the store more often. I had started to make

Dentist told me to watch what I eat with my temporary so I am... :o).
I heard through the ever-present gossipy Gig Harbor grapevine that we may actually be getting a bookstore here someday.
Definitely hasn't been the best of days. The work day mood was set before I even set foot in the office with a pre work day call. The boss is just another typical XY that doesn't listen. Add to that he wasn't feeling well and definitely had a major 'tude-not a good combination! He ended up going home and probably was for the best. Our Miss Sunshine wasn't in either and gumsnapper well even though she was called to come in she never bothered to return the phone call. So the 2 of us had to hold down the fort.
I came home grumpy, set to work making dinner only to be met by another 'tude when I asked DD to set the table. Apparently there's something wrong with setting the table before dinner is actually ready. Not quite understanding the logic of that. I guess it has something to do with coming up and down the stairs twice. Dinner is over (which was a huge disappointment), everyone has disappeared and there I am sitting by myself with a table full of leftover food, a mess in the kitchen and a 57 lb dog that wants to climb into the dishwasher. I know one of these days the dishwasher door is just going to fall off from the weight. He also had an attitude-kept trying to pull me out into the middle of the street and finding various "things" to eat out of the grass on our walk.
I'm presently contemplating the laundry room and what lies in wait. The task sounded so easy at 7AM however not sounding quite the same in the evening hour.
On the up side of things-I got in a workout this morning, I've eaten well, drank my water
and haven't gone to get my shovel-although I am contemplating that toothbrush thing.
Hope everyone has a pleasant evening and sweet dreams for all.

Rhonda,
Keeping Joe in my thoughts and prayers. Sure hope that everything is ok.
Hugs,

Good Evening Ladies,
Well I had a ho hum day. Not many in the office so just decided to do what I could and the world would still revolve. Got in a bad mood when I got home. My H doesn't work and sometimes the resentment gets the better of me. I really try for that smile...but. I did do my treadmill though - 2.18 miles! Thought the endorphines would make me feel better.
Rhonda - my what a day you had!! You're amazing to accomplish all that. And VD cards too!
J-Deb - sorry about the root canal. Hope you feel better soon. I need a couple crowns pretty soon and not looking forward to that.
Susan - sorry about your bad day. I had to chuckle at the table setting. Sounds like how my daughter would be. Congrats on the workout and avoiding the shovel. However, that shovel idea has been in my head ever since I first read about it. :-)
You all have a good evening and tomorrow will be a better day! Take care!
