WOW Wednesday check in time!
| Wed, 01-24-2007 - 7:25pm |
Ladies it is that time of the day again where we check in with each other and share how we did today. Goodness knows it feels like I just did yesterdays post a little while ago. Why do the days go so fast................is it our age? Is it our time? Is it our schedules? Is it our lives? I can say yes, yes, yes and yes again! How about the rest of you? So what did you do today? Was your work out hard? Was your day busy at the office? Did you chase anyone with a shovel?

It was your fairly typical run of the mill day. A bit of afternoon frenzy in the office but we handled it well and got the job done and then DD called saying my doctor's office had called the house looking for me to call the office. I really couldn't imagine what they wanted. I knew I hadn't missed an appointment and now my mind was racing. I returned the call and was put on hold for what seemed liked ages and I got one of the girls on the phone saying that they had gotten their copy of my test results and would I like to speak to the doctor about them. Well since I got the I can't find anything and everything is fine from the other doctor I didn't quite get this whole thing. I only hear from this doctor after test results when something is not right. She went on to explain that there is this liver calcification and did I need to speak to the doctor. I again explained that the other doctor said it was nothing to worry about...now is the other doctor thinking that it was something? Now I'm wondering whether I should have taken the opportunity to talk to him or whether I should go with the theory that the other doctor who reassured me that there is nothing to be concerned over. Now of course I'm feeling paranoid...
Anyway, home for dinner, a walk with Otto which was very refreshing, my laundry is finished for the day and I'm ready for a comfy chair and my book.
Exercise for the day has been completed, eating went well as well as a good amount of water.
The shovel chasing did cross my mind but decided to use a bit more patience and put my shovel away for the evening.
Hope you've all enjoyed a WOW of a Wednesday!

Hi Cl-Deb and All,
The days do just zip on by don't they. I think it's the age.
I had a lousy day at work. But, hey, I know I'm not the only one. At least we're on the down hill side of the week.
My workout was hard. I first did some work with those stretch cords (I don't know what to call them) with a DVD. I then did a mile on the treadmill. I really was going to take a day off but glad in the end that I didn't. But you know those cords are not easy!
I really want to use the shovel. I know I've said that before. I don't want to feel this way but it's a long story maybe for another time.
Hope all of you had good days or at least hung in there. I'm really enjoying this board just can't give it as much attention as I would like.
Take care, Barb

Susan, I know you must be concerned after that phone call. I hope all is well and maybe just a talk with that doctor would double reassure you. I know if it was me it would play on my mind until I did. Praying that all is indeed well.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks of the shovel! I first read about the shovel on this board when I first started. I don't remember who it was but I thought it was good!
Take care, Barb

Didn’t have time to make a Target run with DD after school; she had a project to work on and that took precedence.

I am in a blue kind of mood lately........wonder why? Well today was a full and stressful day at my office. Work was busy and I was juggling several things there. I snaped at the boss and he called me on it. I went in and told him to slow down, way too much going on for this lady to carry. He quickly appoligized and told me to remind him often. I guess he feels I can carry the load but I told him he needs to go a bit more slowly for me. Time will tell. I will say that the day did indeed fly by. Just Katie and I for dinner tonight, Bill and the boys went to the Ford Dealership and were sitting down with the sales man and ordering Billl's new truck. He had ordered a 2007 but they did not get his order in ontime. He has been hashing around whether he wanted a 2008 or was he willing to look for a used 2006 or 2007.......he has been on ebay and everything else. The boys have been working on him to get a new one. So the boys won. Listen I do not have to make the payment, he does so it is totally up to him. Plus to do this he has to pay off my mustang so that is a good thing. I made a simple grilled chicken for us and the boys are eatting out after they spend their money.......lol. We are just going to sit and watch American Idol. Katie just got out of the shower and I just got off the elipital machine. I only did 10 minutes (my WW leader said to only do 5 but I thought 10 was better) and I am out of breath. That machine is difficult. I guess if I can get used to a week of 10 minutes then next week I can up to 15 and so on. I am not sure if I mentioned that Cassone our black cat was having trouble opening her right eye yesterday. She did open it, seems to have trouble when she first wakes up. Well this is the cat that is feral and does not let anyone pick her up. I called the vet and I need to bring her in tomorrow at 4:30. Now I need to catch her and put her in the cat carrier.......should be interesting.

Workout was so good this morning, but then again the last 2,000 or so Jazz classes have been pretty good too.
