Good morning Patty and the rest of you wonderful ladies............it is chilly outside and the news this morning said snow. I think just a dusting but the "s" word again. No thankyou. Bill and Katie are upstairs doing their morning routine to get ready and head out the door for work and school. Rob is off today and tomorrow since this week is midterms for them. He took his two on Tuesday and Wednesday. I only work until 1 today and that would be my first thankful. I need to hit the grocery store for a few items to help me stay focused. I am thinking about making a shrimp stir fry with vegtables and putting it over brown rice. The recipe said whole wheat pasta but I am not going there again. Cassone needs to go to the vet today at 4:30 and this should be interesting. Since I am going have to just grab her and put her in the carrier. I should have Rob video this, who knows it just might make the finals for Americas Funniest Home Videos, lol. Well better get making some lunch for Katie and then some breakfast for me. Have a wonderful day ladies. Karen the forgotten pen has happened many times here. Bill and Billy put them into their work pants and forget. Glad it did not ruin too much.
Thankfuls: My warm house, My support and help with WW, Remote start on the station wagon, Katie's award tomorrow night, Bill was able to order his truck.
We have a little bit of snow coming down at the moment but it's not supposed to amount to anything other than a dip in the thermomenter readings throughout the day.
I had a nice early morning walk on the treadmill and I made sure that I did all the leg raises and stretches to keep my knee from complaining. Needle on the scale is still stuck in the "up" position-maybe it's just meant to be that number. It seems to be my constant maintenance number.
Another day, another dollar day at work and then home. I have a bag of shrimp in the freezer so those will be involved in tonight's dinner. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and Otto and I will head out for our after dinner walk.
Still chipping away at the laundry pile. I'm sure by the time the last load is done that mountain will reappear.
I realized last night that the doctor doesn't have hours today. But I do think I'll give the office a call tomorrow and see if I can find out why he thought he should be talking to me and why he thought I needed explanations.
Not much else shakin'around here. All's quiet on the homefront at the moment.
Thankfuls:
Flat shoes! I wore heels the other day and just made me realize how much I love my flats!
That little bit of extra light at 5PM.
Winter evening walks with my favorite canine.
A good book and a comfy chair
Our new heating system which seems to be keeping the upstairs occupants of the house much warmer this winter.
Remote start on my car
Sticking to early morning workouts and healthy eating-definitely feeling better mentally and physically.
It's a chilly, damp day today. I heard some pretty heavy rain before daylight, but it's stopped for now. Mom and Dad are supposed to come here at 12:30 to see the sunroom, pool, and the redo of the main bathroom, then we're heading across the bridge to a place that sells lift recliners. Dad really needs one that will help him get up at least part of the time and he will eventually have to rely it, I'm afraid.
I had a 1:00 appt. with a trainer at the Y to learn more exercises using my own weight, but I had to change the time so I can go with Mom and Dad. It's now 10:30 with someone I've never met. I'm told he's very good though.
Tim has a guy coming up from Miami for a meeting either today or this evening. He's hoping to hire him as CFO if they can work out all the details. I would love getting all that responsibility (i. e. work) off Tim's shoulders to free
