Good morning everyone. Is everyone ready for Friday and a weekend?

10 Focus On The Travel, Not The Destination

Focus on the travel and not the destination. There is always a challenge ahead ... there is always a weight we want to lift or a muscle we want to define or ten more pounds we want to lose. As we continue to grow with age, new challenges in our health will arise.

But in order to enjoy life, we must enjoy the process of it and not focus so much on the destination?because once we get to our destination, there is always somewhere farther we want to reach?this desire to resist complacency is what creates success.

Good morning ladies........it is cold here today. I think our high is going to be around 20 and that does not count the wind chill. Not happy about that. I am very tiered and could go back to bed very easily but unfortunately I can not. Bill and I have to meet with the closing lawyers to sign the Home Equity papers. Going to pay off all the credit cards, cut them up, redo the carpet in the den, put a gas fireplace into the old fireplace, redo the kitchen counters/floors and appliances. I think he is going to pay off the mustang and get his garage put up. There is even talk about putting the pool in this spring. His words are just finish this house and be done with it. Not sure what my feelings are here........I hate the idea of more debt but he said the home equity is only 1% over prime as opposed to the 23% on those darn credit cards. Makes sense especially if we can double our payments.

We put Tiger in Katie's room last night and Cassone slept on my bed. He usually kicks her off and sleeps with us. I just might start putting him in her room again to give Cassone a break. Well she is hungry and buzzing around the house meowing. Bill said when we get back he will help me catch her and get her in the cage. I am figuring when I get back around 11:00 she will be good and hungry. I bought a can of Fancy Feast and I figure she will smell it and come running by then. Mind you she did not have dinner last night either. I am hoping if I sit next to the carrier and put the can inside she just might go in to eat.

I need to take my shower and get something to eat. I guess some puffed rice with a banana, simple and easy. I am going to try and do my 10 minutes later on when I get home. Tonight is the fancy dinner and I need to behave because the food is out of this world. At least I can stick with water and diet soda. No need to waste calories with those. We got word last night that one of Bill's best friends mom passed away yesterday. They have been friends since grade school and she has been in an assisted living for a while with her husband. She had Alzheimer and had gotten really bad. So it looks like we will be going to a wake over the weekend. Never a good thing. Well better run. I hope everyone has a wonderful day and stays warm.

Actually Patty when I look at that plane I am not singing that song.......rather I start thinking of palm trees, tropical water and Pina Coladas!

Good Morning,

Cold here this morning. The temperature right now is about 8 along with some wind and high will be about 18. I had to laugh when DD was leaving for work contemplating about what jacket to wear-not with what was warmer but rather which went better with her outfit! Always fashion on her mind! I must remember to remote start the car this morning.

Didn't get quite the length of workout that I was anticipating since I turned the alarm off and promptly went back to sleep. But I did have time for one of my WATP videos and a few stretches. Otto has my schedule down to a science. I'm just finishing up my workout each morning and I hear the paws on the floor above and there he sits at the basement door waiting for me to appear.

Looking forward to the 5PM whistle and the weekend. I hope I don't need my whistle today-I probably could have used one yesterday. There are days when I feel like the playground monitor.

No plans for the after 5 hour. Although a quick check through the bills may be in order or I just may wait until later in the weekend. I don't think anyone is knocking at the door at the moment. I have several movies Tivo'd and if I can stay awake I may watch one. I've also been flipping through my Cooking Lights-always looking for something new. I found a veggie lasagna that maybe on the menu for Sunday.

Rhonda-sounds like you had a really nice visit with your parents. I'm sure it does them both good to be able to get out for the day-especially your Mom. Taking such good care of your Dad I'm sure can be exhausting for her. Congratulations to Erin and to Tim! Glad to hear you had a good start up session with the trainer!

CL-Deb-hope you're able to capture the kitty and get kitty to the vet.

That's about it from this cold winter neck of the woods! Hope everyone is feeling well and ready to enjoy a fantastic Friday!

Good point tihs morning, Patty. The older I get the more I realize the journey goes way too fast. I wasn't thinking that song, but I am now... ;-)

I'm getting ready for my check-up and will leave about 10:30. I love this dr. (delivered Rob), so even though it's not the most comfortable type of exam, I do look forward to seeing him. I have a number of questions to ask.

When I'm finished there, I need to go to the dr. at the beach to get my progesterone prescription refilled, go to the cleaners out this way, and get Tiger back to the vet. I'm hoping I can get Rob to do that again. There are probably others things I need to get while I'm out that I'll think of later.

The computer shows it's only 41, but we should be a little higher than that here. It's always colder NW at the airport where they record the temperatures. I think we'll hit 60 today, then back into the upper 30's tonight. At least it's sunny.

Better go finish getting ready. Have a great Friday!
