Would all of you mind telling me what your weight loss starting point was, how much you've lost and what type of fitness plan you're using. Also, how many calories you're eating per day?

Thankx
J

Thanks so much for getting back to me Deb. It's just nice to know what type of progress everyone else is having here on the board. I'm sure all the info is here on the board someplace, but there seems to be a lot to read in order to get to all the info. Wow, working out 2 hrs a day has certainly got me beat by a long shot! That's what I call dedication! I'm up to 1hr a day on the treadmill and I feel great about that. It's hard for me to keep from pushing myself too fast on the treadmill because I always used to run and now I have to hold myself back (not only because of the x-tra weight I have but I doubt running again would be good for my back). I can get a pretty good pace going while power walking so this is a good start for me. I too started out wearing a sz. 16 and thankfully I'm now into a 14. I threw all my sz 16's out so I will never get back into them again!!! I cannot believe I actually got up to a sz 16 (normally I wear a 6-8).

Next question...what's up with the mile game that you guys are playing here? I'm just not sure of the rules and such. Anyway, have a great weekend. I will be working on paperwork for our business (my husband and I have a transportation business) and hitting the gym (of course):).

The challenge is a cyber walk across the US and up north to our friend in Canda. We use it as an incentive for ourselves to eat healthy, exercise, drink our water and take our supplements. We give ourselves a mile for each 15 minutes of exercise that we do. It also includes those of us who do a lot of gardening and outdoor work, housecleaning, anything and everything that keeps us moving. Another mile for having a healthy day of eating, which is whatever plan or way of healthy eating that you do. Water consumption is also whatever you consider the right amount for yourself. There's no competition involved just a fun way to keep ourselves motivated!

Jump on in if you'd like. Patty keeps us updated on how far we've traveled.

I am afaid and embaressed to answer your question especially since I am the co-cl here and I should be setting some good examples. Unfortunatly I have really been struggling with my eatting habits and exercise habits for a long time now. I am a WW fan and I believe this is the easiest and smartest ways of eatting to loose weight but sticking to it is another thing. I joined a gym last year and for a while I was doing great unfortunatly school ended and my time was devoted back to the kids. My membership expires in March/April and I doubt I will rejoin. I have been doing better with using my video tapes at home and my older son purchased an eliptal machine which I can use anytime. I just need to unglue my butt from this computer chair when I get home. I only work part time and I am not as crazy busy at the moment as some of the other ladies are and they find the time and energy. I rejoined WW 3 weeks ago and I started my weight at 156, I am only down 2 pounds but that is better then nothing. I am doing the Core program and I decided to fit 10 minutes each day this week on that elipitcal machine. Next week I want to push it to 15.

Hi J

I have only been here less than six months... It is an extremely warm and friendly board.
