Congratulations on your ongoing progress Margie! So very proud of you!
I think it's finally sunk into my head how much better I'm feeling with an ongoing commitment to exercise and eating right. I can't say that I go running to the basement every morning with delight-but I am truly enjoying the physical and mental well being that it's been giving me.
The work day was truly exhausting. We're still plugging away at getting everything done that needs to get this first billing cycle in place. It's tedious and sometimes frustrating but once it's done hopefully this will be the last time we have to do this. I truly felt like my brain hurt!
Otto and I took our after dinner walk and I was dressed like Nanook of the North only to discover it really wasn't all that cold this evening. It was a pleasurable winter temperature and made for a very pleasant walk. Now if I could just teach Otto that we both need to be on the same side of the pole or tree!
I came home to quickly change into my pjs, brushed my teeth (thoughts of dessert are quickly extinguished with a good dose of toothpaste and Listerine), washed my face. I'm doing my evening board time and soon will retire to my chair for the evening. I hope to get some reading time in, watch House and then right off to bed. 5Am comes very quickly these days!
Hope everyone has had a great day and good night's rest!
Way to go Margie!!! 36 lbs? You must feel fantastic! I can't wait until I get where you are. How much are you planning on losing in total? I know what you mean about those plateaus...BTDT. I've actually found that whenever I hit one, if I take one day and eat a lot of non fat carbs, then go back to my regular routine the next day, it almost jolts my matabolism and I start losing again. Unfortunately, I'm not at that stage yet with my new journey but in the past when I lost a lot of weight it helped me get through those tough times. How long have you been working out on the bike? If it's been a while and you still don't look forward to your workouts, why not do a different type of excersize, one you will enjoy so you won't have to dread it as much? Anyway way to go!!!
I haven't been here since last Sat. but I'm still going strong. My DH and I went out to dinner Sun. night (first time since I've been back on my healthy lifestyle kick) and at first I was worried I might blow the whole thing by eating something foolish but I didn't. I ordered a shrimp dish w/a salad and it was delicious, didn't feel as though I was missing a thing. Next Sat. will mark my 1 month mark and I don't intend to get on the scales again until then. I doubt I will have lost anymore weight by then but one never knows.
Take care all and I'll check back in before the end of the week. TTFN, J

Evening Everyone,
Every visit I make to the board I find myself thinking I need to get here more often.
