Mine was pretty wacky, since I've been thinking it was the 30th and just discovered tomorrow's the 1st!!

I haven't done a whole lot other than some laundry and a little cleaning. Did get some good deals on giftwrap, bows, Christmas ornaments, Jibbitz for Crocs (Ariel for Claudea and Jasmine for Andie), and an insulated cup that says "Free Bird" on it and plays the song when you turn it on (for Rob). Most of the stuff was 75% off. I had gone in to get 2 birthday cards and wound up spending over $51.00! I'm the kind of customer they love to see coming. LOL!

We're having the leftovers of your pulled pork recipe, Donna, with corn-on-the-cob and green beans. Seems like a summer meal. I just cut up some fresh strawberries to put those Kashi muffins I make so often.

Lauren called to tell me about the resort where we'll stay at the end of Feb. in Orlando. It is extremely nice. Erin called just to chat. She was on her way to get a spray-on tan. The last one she got was in a booth and she didn't like it. This one is where an individual does it with a spray gun. I'm so glad she's stopped going to tanning booths.

Tim's working late, since it's the end of the month. At least it shouldn't be as late it was there for a while. Just saw on the weather that we may be back to the mid-70's tomorrow and maybe one more day before more cold returns. If I weren't going to watch Tim talk to 2 groups at Jacksonville University tomorrow afternoon/evening, I'd be tempted to make a run to the beach!

Have a good evening!

I hope you can get unstuffed and get a good night's rest. Have you tried Vick's Vap-O-Rub under your nose and on your chest? It can work wonders.

If you worked in Boston or had to traverse the city today, I'd say you had the whackiest day ever.

What a ding dong with those packages, they caused a stir here and apparently were in other cities as well:

The packages in question are magnetic lights that pose no danger," Turner said in a statement. It said the devices have been in place for two to three weeks in 10 cities: Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, Portland, Ore., Austin, Texas, San Francisco and Philadelphia.

I'm not sure I'd call the day wacky but I'm going to start whacking things if we don't get this whole process at work over with. Everything goes along fine for awhile and then some other snag comes along to slow everything down. I'm exhausted mentally and physically and along with that comes feeling overworked, underpaid and a bit short tempered about a host of things.

Otto and I did head out for our walk this evening. There were some snowy, icy patches around and the moon was absolutely beautiful. But it was cold and dark and windy and Otto was being a very bad boy this evening and again I'm a bit short on patience this evening.

I took a ride over to Target and was looking at the wobble board. I was tempted but thought it was a bit overpriced and then I was feeling very guilty over spending the money so I came home empty handed.

The dishes are done but I need to get back to the kitchen and put everything away and get the coffee set up for the morning fix. One less thing to do in the early morning is a good thing, something my husband doesn't quite get.

The panini sandwiches don't follow any recipe. I just get some really good bread-(DD had bought a herb foccia bread at Trader Joe's) drizzle a little olive oil on the top of each slice and then layer whatever you like. I used some fresh mozzerella, tomato, sliced grilled chicken, jarred roasted peppers and a basil leaf. I have a grill that I can press the sandwich down and make the nice lines in the bread and then just cook it on the grill until the cheese melts.

CL-Deb-great job on the weight loss!

Karen-your inlaws really are something else!

Rhonda-that resort looks really nice. I would love to be headed somewhere about now!

I think I'm now set to put on my pjs and settle in for the evening. I do believe that it's going to be a very early to bed night and I'd better not get asked why I'm going to bed so early or there may be a shovel in someone's future!

Pleasant dreams to one and all!

Susan
