Good Morning,

A gray and gloomy day right now and did hear tell we're expecting some snow overnight. I'm not a snow person-although I know DS' boss is looking for snow. Business is not good right now. Too early for bikes and lawn mower repairs and since no one is using snow blowers there are no repairs or people looking for new equipment.

I was in bed by 9PM last night and probably asleep by 9:01. I never heard DH come in last night and was asked why did you go to bed so early. When I'm asleep in the chair I get why don't you go to bed and when I decide bed is the place to be-why are you going to bed already. I don't think anyone listens around here and it's just one of my feeling frustrated kind of days. I truly could go for a few days at some remote location with only people around me asking me-what can we get for you? I think the work week is taking a toll on me and I would just love to hear-I'll do that for you. A simple restocking of the toilet paper in the bathroom would be nice. And DS-pulling his layers of clothing apart before depositing in the laundry chute. I'll admit it I'm a bit of a b*t*h this morning and so I've been reminded!

Workout was accomplished this morning. 15 minutes on the elliptical-that seems to be all I can handle on there-weights and an attempt at doing ab work. I hate it, don't enjoy it and didn't get to far with it. I was doing stretches when I hear Otto whining and whining but someone else didn't heed the whine so that was the end of that this morning.

Dinner prep is done and Chicken Chimchangas on the menu for this evening. I have my greens washed and ready for a big salad to go along with it.

Off to work in a few minutes and another day of much the same as the rest of the week. Hope the frustration level isn't as high. Much of my dreams last night incorporated people from the office and even a few clients. It's not bad enough I spend the majority of the day with them-they have to invade my sleep time too!

Enough is enough-I'll zip my lip now. Despite my mood I'm surrounded by many blessings.

I'm thankful that the work week is almost done.

Thankful for automatic times on coffee pots and my morning cup of coffee.

Thankful for a coworker that can share equally in this frustrating process.

Thankful for my workout equipment.

Thankful for beautiful moonlit winter evenings.

Thankful for my evening walking companion-even if he is naughty sometimes! But that what makes Otto-Otto!

Thankful for all you wonderful ladies.

Patty-hope things go well at the doctor.

Donna-hope you get good blood test results and say hello to Miss Kathy!

Rhonda-good luck to Tim on his speaking engagements.

Well time is running short and need to see if my remote start in my car might actually start the car this morning.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning!

First day in a week I could go without my scarf wrapped around my neck and ears and without tears streaming down my face from the cold.

Susan, your days are so full and you do so much at work and at home, it's no wonder you're tired. I believe I'd have been tempted to reply. "I went to bed because I was so tired. Maybe if I had a little help around here, I wouldn't be so tired!" I'm sure there's a more tactful way to do it, but when you're exhausted and frustrated that's the kind of thoughts that are sure to be there. I hope you get a relaxing break somehow and soon.

Thanks for your good thoughts for Tim. :-)

Oh, I love chicken chimichangas. Whenever we go to Rosey's Restaurant, that's what I order.

Hugs,

Glad to hear you got your test overwith quickly and that your weather has eased up. The follow-up to the gadget scare yesterday should be interesting.

I really feel for you. After working in design and with contractors and subs for so many years, I know exactly what you're talking about. They will try to substitute something less expensive or that they get perks for in a heartbeat. I had to write "NO SUBSTITITUTIONS WITHOUT DESIGNER APPROVAL" into the specs on jobs. And, they will give you all kinds of excuses for why they have to do it, most of them untrue.

My sister has been trying to get an addiction on her house in MD finished for several years off-and-on. She's been through a few contractors who are very blase about the whole thing (one, her BIL!!) -- don't show up, work partial days, leave things unfinished, want draws way in

We've had a bit of a problem with the pool equipment. Scottie was here working on the pool and was tightening a large thing on the filter, when a big bolt sheared off. Now, it can't be sealed tightly, so the equipment has to stay off until he can find a replacement. I just hope the pool place has one, so he can get it repaired tomorrow. Otherwise, he'll have to order one and the equipment will have to stay off for days. Not good. Oh, well. At least he was up front and told me about it immediately, which I appreciate. Something is causing the water level to go down faster than normal too. He said some water was leaking out of the back of the filter, so that may be causing it. Some sealant on the ring in there might do the trick. I have the hose going in the pool now.

Rob and I were excited to notice this morning that it started getting a little daylight by the time he left for school. That means the days are getting longer, so spring can't be too terribly far away. There's hope! We are supposed to get to mid-70's today, so I can't complain about the temperature. It'll get colder by the weekend and rain is expected. Hope it won't be bad in Orlando.

I waited to wash my hair today, so it will look better when I go hear Tim speak. I want to be a good reflection of him. :-) Getting ready to jump in the shower in a few minutes. No set plans other than being at his office a little after 3:00, so we can head to JU. He's booked from 4-7 with a guy who's CEO of one of his companies. I think we'll be able to grab something to eat between the 2 sessions. Actually, Tim's resignation as CEO of the main

Well, shucks! I'm not going to go see Tim speak today. He just called and was talking about feeling a little apprehensive, and he never is about things like this. I'm sure part of it is because that big business award winner is there and it's the first time he's spoken at JU, but I really think the main reason is he's nervous about me watching him. At first, he said no it was fine, but after we were on the phone a while, he had to admit that he really wants me to see him at the top of his game and wants to impress me, which I think is just human nature. I'd feel the same way if the situation were reversed.

He said these discussions will be small and may even turn into round table type ones, which would be boring for me. He'd rather I see him at the end of the month in the panel discussion at UNF when there will be about 500 people in the audience. He's the exact opposite of the way most people are.

So, at least my wet hair is nice and clean and I don't have to worry about getting dressed up or putting on make-up. :-) Maybe I'll take a nap!
