Good evening. I had a busy day today. It was my day to go to Mom and Dad's to be with him while Mom got a perm. Almost as soon as I got there, Mom told me about their elderly cat that is Dad's baby having a large swollen place on his cheek. We decided I should call the vet about it, because he was treated for it a couple of weeks ago and it went down, but it came back. The cat is blind and starting to lose weight, but is so dear. I called and they said we could bring him over right then and drop him off, but there were no actual appts.
Mom finished getting herself together and left, and I got Dad and the cat situated in the car. We took him there and dropped him off, but it always takes forever there. From there, we went to Costco for Mom. Dad waited in the car, because it's hard for him to get in and out and use the walker as big as Costco is. I race walked the length of the place diagonally to get the wine she likes and her prescription, only to be behind 4 people in line at the pharmacy. A kind lady let me go ahead of her in the regular line when she heard that Dad was in the car, but I still had to stand behind 6 people with full baskets having to be re-checked before they went out the door. Arrrghh!
We went to a new Arby's at the Town Center and had a leisurely lunch there. It was nice and bright with some 2-story windows, so I think Dad enjoyed it. Tim called while I was in Costco and again while we were at Arby's. His plane had been delayed twice due to canceled flights. He's been up since 3 this morning for a 5;37 flight and has been at the Atlanta airport since 8-something. Thank goodness he's a member of the Delta Crown Room and could hook up his lap top and even got a nap in a big chair this afternoon. The vet called right after him and OJ was ready to be picked up. I was glad we'd stayed pretty close in the area. He's on antibiotics again, but at his age, they're concerned it may be a tumor or cancer. Dad was pretty down about that. Went back to the vet to get him.
Headed to Pinch-a-Penny to get a pool pet ramp they were holding for me, so if the dogs fall in the pool again they can get out. It has to be anchored in the kool deck, so I don't know if we'll end up keeping it or not. I'd like to figure out another way. Got gas at BJ's, then headed to their house. Mom got home not too long after we did. I stayed and visited a while, then came back to my house.
Since I've been home, I brought in the 5 garbage cans, swept all the leaves
Typical day at work-frantic Friday- a teary calm yourself down, breathe in and out conversation with DD after she was sure she blew her interview- then moving right along to a conversation with the gastro doctor to discuss my theory-yep could be but can't really say that's the cause or the area where I should be experiencing discomfort and still need OK from your doctor- called the regular doctor-he called around 8:30 which is in my barely coherent time of day and I was dozing in the chair-end of that conversation was call the office on Monday have them squeeze you in I have to see you. Think I should have found a bottle of the Fat Guy.
Not sure how all of this is going to end up but at least tomorrow is Saturday!
I’m feeling a little under the weather at the moment … thinking I may have what DD had yesterday … symptoms are light headed and queasy.

Karen, I hope it's just not eating that made you feel queasy and not a bug.
