Very busy day here, more then I originally planned. Bill finished up earlier and we headed out. One of the nice things about our kids getting older. Katie was at the computer desk working on her project and Bill asked her to help out with his fish tank so......she helped her big brother clean his fish tank (55 gallons), then together they went to McDonalds and the Flea Market. While they were bonding Bill and I went to the bank, dry cleaners, the fire place store (we ordered the gas insert for the fireplace and should be here mid week), then we went to several furniture stores to look for couches for our den. Saw a few and we got some ideas. We stopped by a road side hot dog truck (so not WW's but heck it was fun), then home. Bill attempted to hang our towel bar in the bathroom but he needs special mason bits to go through the plaster walls. So he just showered, Katie and I are dressed and Billy is washing up and I think Rob might be home any minute and looks like the Madden family is going out to dinner together on a Saturday night....did someone mention snow? I know why, lol. From dinner its coffee/tea at home and a good nights rest. Had some sad news today though......my middle sister who lives close put her German Shepard to sleep today. Her vet came to the house and did it there so he was on the couch in the sun. She had me crying a little while ago. Very sad, she had him for 12 years. He had a tumor in his mouth and it was causing him lots of pain and discomfort. It was time but she was so upset they were doing to right thing. She called a pet physic and talked to her. This lady said it was alright and I guess that eazed my sister and BIL's mind.

It's been a very odd day for me. I got nothing really accomplished around here. It was one of those days that I started a few things but really never finished anything. I've been feeling very tired today and still been having the same issues which have me feeling not right for most of the day.

DH went out early and got me the vaccum bags and was cleaning out the filters and I procceded to plop myself on the couch. DD came in and suggested a quick trip to Lord & Taylor. I had a gift card she had given me for Christmas so I really didn't have to be asked twice. I really wasn't planning on purchasing anything since I've been trying to keep myself in a spending freeze. But I ended up trying on a few things some too big, some too small, some a little better looking on the hanger than on me but I did find two really cute white shirts and a blue and black long sleeved top. I got to the cash register and realized that I didn't have enough cash and I've stopped carrying credit cards so DD treated me to the shirts. I did, however have enough cash for a cute pair of red ballet flats that were on sale with an additional 20% off. The white shirts are going to look really nice with a pair of black pants and those red shoes! DD got treated to lunch for treating me to a nice surprise today.

DD has been working hard on cleaning up her room and closet which entitled me to go shopping in her closet. She had some really cute sweatshirts, sweaters and shirts that fit, a few purses that didn't fit her needs plus her old laptop. The laptop has a fan issue but is still useable for my purposes so it's found a new home with me. Fun shopping in her closet and the price is right!

I made the chicken ring for dinner but haven't had much of an appetite so I ended up not eating much.

I'm going to try to get to bed earlier tonight and hope for a good nights sleep and hope to feel better in the morning.

Hope everyone has had a great day and good night's rest!

Time just keeps slipping away from me lately. Here it is saturday evening and I can't remember the last time I posted here. We had a balmy 38 degrees today and the sun was actually out for a while this afternoon.

Sadie is doing well. Her tail is still wagging and it looks to be healing up just fine. We go back in a week or so to get the stitches out and have a talk with the doc. Got her a brand new collar today at WallyWorld and you'd have thought we were trying to lure her into a cult or something the way she acted when Jeff was putting it on her. I've never seen such a suspicious dog in all my life!

Patty, your woes at finding new jeans has really hit home with me. With all the cold weather we've had, I've been wearing sweats and lined track pants all over the place. I went to put on jeans yesterday and I was a bit upset at the outcome. I can wear them, but only just. So time for me to get serious about the 'winter chub' I've been bonding with the last month or so. I went to the grocery store this morning and stocked up on all the good stuff. Tomorrow, I'm getting my snack bags out and measuring out some portions to take along to Lincoln. Portion control, and no french fries, should help somewhat. I need to get that More magazine you're talking about although I don't think I've ever seen it anywhere I usually shop.

Today I indulged my inner girlie and bought all new bras. I hit a hot sale with clearance prices and grabbed up some nice ones for $5.50 each. Sometimes you just get lucky.

Cl-Deb, so sorry to hear about your friend's dog. It was nice that he got to die at home instead of at the clinic. 12 years is a long time to be together and it's hard to let go. I hope she finds peace in knowing that her dog really is in a better place.

I'm so far behind on the posts I'll never catch up. I hope everyone is well. Rhonda, sorry to hear about your Dad. I hope you can come up with a good intervention. You're all in my thoughts. Take care and have a good night.
