Good Morning!
Is anyone else out there giddy with excitement over having a Monday OFF FROM WORK!
For me, this is actually the last day of a little min-vaca.
I took some time off last week too, but today is a great bonus.
There is something so peaceful about a weekday morning at home.
I am still in jammies, have the decaf British Blend Tetley brewing, and I feel so rich to have some time to myself!
I am still enjoying the newness of my hairstyle. I got up this morning, squeezed a little bed head product onto my hands and ran my fingers through it and it looks like it did after the salon stylist did it! Oh the freedom of short hair :)
So many things to do today.
I am going to work out with my new Leslie Sansone Dvds, go to the nail place and get my manicure touched up, finish the laundry, make some low-fat turkey meatballs and spicy spaghetti sauce for dinner, spend a few hours reading, and put some finishing touches on the living space. Oh yeah, and stop by the eye doctor for my new contact lenses, which have been on order for a few weeks.
It is COLD again here in northern Virginia, but I think it can't last much longer.
It seems to me that the groundhog did NOT see the shadow this year, and therefore, Spring is allegedly coming early.
I was born in Punxsutawney, PA, so I pay attention to that little rodent.
Hope you all enjoy your day, whatever your plans may be.
Kim

on the hair thing...
I try letting it grow once in a while.
This time, it was actually longer than it has been in years, but then I see an old picture
and remember how much I like it short...and I just go for it.
I really do have one of those faces that looks better with short hair, particularly now that I am getting older, so I am delighted with my decision.
I'm off to the nail salon!
:)

I think I am a little jealous of you ladies.

I totally am enjoying it!
I also get what Barb said about the dh liking long hair.
This has been an ongoing topic during my 25 year marriage.
I have tried just about everything...long, short, curly, straight, layered, bobbed, and I always come back to a nice short feathery cut that really accents my eyes.
DH, like a typical American male, thinks all women should have long, silky "Barbie doll"hair.
I know this, but, like Barb, my feeling is, I am the one who has to wear it on my head!
Also, while some women really do look their best in long hair, I do not.
I am glad that we are living in a time when people feel free to wear the styles that are right for them, regardless of current trends.
Whether it's the little old lady with the long hair in a bun, or the middle-aged mom with the short cut, I like to see women choose the look that feels right for them.
That's what gives us the look of confidence we all deserve. :P
Absolutely Kim!!!!
I would love nothing more than to give my DH what he would like (the long sexy hair) but hey, facts are facts and if it just doesn't suit then so be it.
