Tuesdays timing!

Isn't there a saying about timing being everything? It is so true from catching a train on time to finding that special dress on sale, marked down to exactly where you want it. Unfortunatly I think in todays world we allow time to much influence........hurry kids you will miss the bus, hurry and finish dinner your bath is getting cold, hurry the movie starts in 10 minutes and the popcorn line is out the door. We are always in a hurry to go some place or to do something. Don't get me wrong time is a useful tool but I find my life revolves around time.

Good Morning,

The skies are blue and the temperature is a bit warmer this morning. Hopefully it will melt some of this rock solid ice that is still hanging on.

My doctor's appointment went ok although very long. My 3:20 appointment didn't get me home until 5:30. The PA came in but after trying to explain the situation to her we both knew I had to wait until the doctor was free. He really had no explanation for me either but he did an EKG, reviewed my past report from the cardiologist and felt that it was safe to go ahead on Thursday. Talk about clock watching-I need this week to be over!

I do tend to be a clock watcher, but always striving to slow the pace down a bit. I've driven myself crazy by this done by this time and that. But trying to change that pattern particularly on the weekends.

The alarm went off this morning but apparently I must have shut it off and went back to sleep. By the time I woke up it was time to get up and get into the shower. No workout for me today. Otto and I will go out for our after dinner walk. That walk has been a bit more lively than usual since we have to walk in the street for a good portion of the walk and there's a lot less sniffing going on.

I ended up going to the mall yesterday and picking up some bras. Bra shopping is complicated! I also picked up some Cuddle Duds for those cold winter walks-they are so soft and comfy and kept my legs as warm as my big borrowed yellow ski jacket.

DD in MA hasn't called me on whether she got a call back for a second interview. We spoke around lunchtime yesterday but didn't hear anything last night. I'm hoping that if she didn't hear that maybe the place was closed yesterday for the holiday. I'm almost afraid to call her to find out. I know she is going to be very upset if she doesn't get a call back.

Nothing much else going on around here. I've been trying to catch up on laundry if that's possible and then off to the world of work.

Hope everyone enjoys a terrific Tuesday!

Speaking of time ..............it is now my turn to head into the shower and get ready for work. No school this week so that means I do not have to be up before day break and that my friends is a good feeling. Actually poked Bill first at 6:30, then Billy at 7:30 now me. Katie spent the night at my parents house and she is spending some time with my mother this morning. I guess around noon my mom will bring her home and then she had to finish her report and put away lots and lots of laundry.

Dad fell yesterday while trying to get up from the chair to take his jacket off (as I understand it) and hit his neck on the coffee table. Mom couldn't get him up, so called 911. I wish she'd called me too, but I know she had to get him up sooner than it would have taken for me to get there with the distance between our houses. He didn't think he was hurt, but this morning his neck is sore and he said he will probably stay in bed all day. His cognitive skills are slipping too. My sisters, niece, and I had a conference call that was over an hour about it night-before-last. Mom has got to have more professional help come in even if they have to pay out of pocket. She cannot do it all, and he needs more than she can do. Lisa can't keep taking off work when I can't be there, and I can't be there every day. I am going to their house in time for her to get to a noon dr. appt. One of their cats bit Mom and her hand is swelling up. What next?

Rob is home sick today. He was very sick yesterday with an awful headache, nausea, fever, and coughing. He gets that barky cough in his larynx like I do. His fever seems to about gone and he's not nauseated, but his head still hurts and he's coughing even in his sleep. It reminds me of when he was a little boy. I hate to leave him for a while today, but he should be OK resting. I'll be sure he has his medicine and plenty of fluids before I leave.

Tim has dr. appt.

Sorry about your Dad falling again Rhonda! Yes, it always seems that a number of things hit at once. I do hope your Dad recovers quickly from the fall and your Mom's hand is going to be ok.

Hope Rob feels better soon too.

Bye for now!

I was going to say Good morning, but time sure got away from me today and it will be Good Afternoon. It seems when I don't have to watch a clock to get to the gym to teach or take classes, the morning just flies by. I will be watching the clock all afternoon since I am subbing 2 classes tonight. First time I am really teaching a cardio class since my surgery in December. I have to brush up on my kick boxing for tonight and then step for Thursday night. I am on for Wednesday to stay at DD's house again. She is eating a little more, thank goodness.

Susan...sorry you didn't get any answers from the doctor. It is so frustrating. You have something else going on Thursday? Good luck with that. Hope you hear from DD soon about the second interview.

J-deb...thank you for your kind words about DD. I haven't attempted to read books online, maybe I should. However, I just bought Dr Oz's new book at Costco and I want to tackle that very soon. Did major damage at Trader Joes again last Sunday.

Cl-Deb...too bad you can't get a break from work with the kids home this week. Glad you can sleep in a little.

Lori...enjoy the birthday party today and dance class tonight. I think I would be walking into walls all day if I wore an eye patch.

Have a good one all...
