Good Morning,

A very rainy start to the day. Giant puddles everywhere, street and highway flooding. The weatherman says it's about over and the sun will appear this afternoon. We'll see...

This week has left me absolutely fried. Absolutely horrible day at work yesterday. My coworker and I worked on a trial notebook that took all day to put together. It was huge and a tedious and time consuming project. We were both hunched over a conference room table for about 6 hours with a break only to go to the ladies room and have a quick sandwich. It was nice though that I got a call from my boss last night thanking me for the time and effort that was given to put this project together. I think it was vastly underestimated what was needed and the time involved to get this project done. Today will be another one of those days since we had to triage what needed to get out by the end of the business week. Needless to say the pile on my desk remains and continues to grow.

It was also another non-workout morning. I never set my alarm last night and I guess the exhaustion just set in. I am going to have to get my act together. This is what happens when I skip a few days and it's really easy for me to slip into that pattern of I'll do it tomorrow.

No plans for the weekend. I really have to get things together and get my house really cleaned and straightened out. It would really help if people learned to pick up after themselves a bit better. Subtle hints don't work real well around here!

Delighted Deb-nice to have you back! Sounds like you're settling in and ready to enjoy VA!

Rhonda-glad to hear that you had a safe trip back from Orlando. Sounds like you had a nice time.

Karen-hope things improve on the homefront. Those kind of days sure can have a negative impact on the mood.

Better get my act together at this point. Sure will be glad when this work week is over!

TGIF everyone! Hope everyone enjoys a fantastic Friday!

No wonder you are fried Susan with the projects at work and the "projects" that are waiting for you at home and it causes if you are anything like me and can't stand things being undone. No, subtle don't work at all. Either you have to go on complete strike or scream and yell like a banshee which only makes the bp rise. Ugh...no way out! Sorry about the run on sentence.

I do hope you carve out some time for you this weekend and get over the week you just had. Starting off with trying to get over sedatives didn't help either.

Hugs

Sounds like the meeting gave you two as parents a new way of looking at whatever happened with Sarah. I do hope all works out and she can learn from her actions and make better grades and get to play volley ball again. It sure would help with the anger.

Hope the rain lets up so you can pound the pavement.

Welcome back Nancy! Glad you had a great trip and did what you wanted to do. Sorry you had to come home to so much snow that things are canceled. I don't think I would be moving too quickly either after driving home from Ca. It is GOOD to be home after an extended trip.

Just take it easy today and recharge your batteries. Sometimes we just have to do that.

See you around...

Glad you are feeling better today Karen. Goldfish are very theraputic and how bad can they be since the are so little? LOL!

Just came back from grocery shopping. Went in for 4 things and ended up spending $91. I am hopeless and there are only 2 of us here now.

Have a great weekend.

HI, again. I know I posted but it didn't show up. Hmmm...the replies did.

I barely got out of bed myself this morning with the teaming rain and the aching body. But forced myself into the shower (and dropped the soap which bounced and hit my foot and bruised it) and got to the gym to take step class. I knew I would never get on the treadmill or elilptical on my own. Then to TJ Maxx and Pathmark and finally home for some food. I was starving. Glad I forced myself out and got all the errands done.

Now I have to force myself to do some clean up around here and put the sheets back on the bed. I am moving slowly.

No plans for the weekend and that is just fine with me. So far no call from DD...hope she has help from DH (sometimes he is home on Fridays working from the house) or she is just doing a little better.

Have a good one all

Grace

Sorry if my other post does show up.

Keep on keeping on!

It is really great that your boss called you and thanked you for putting in all of the extra work.
