Well hello ladies..........I missed you all. It is Saturday night and I was wondering what everyone was up to? How was your day? Was your weather delightful or just plain chilly? Did you have fun today or did you keep busy with the family?

Hey there everyone! I sure missed you guys! Bill actually asked me yesterday if I was having withdrawals, lol. I was but I was not going to admit that to him. I really missed Rhonda. We spoke briefly on Wednesday as I was making my way to Disney's Animal Kingdom and I promised to call her back on Thursday morning but the day/days just got away from me. Sorry Rhonda, we had too much planned in a short amount of time. Next trip down will be more low key and visit time to enjoy each others company..........and I will be back.

Lets see what to tell first..........we had an early morning flight on Wednesday (6:40 flight so I was up at 4:00). We were in the Grand Floridian Hotel by 10:30 that morning. What a beautiful grand hotel. The pictures do not do it justice. First class all the way! They had our room ready so we were able to set Katie loose to go swimming while we freshened up and unpacks. One of the extras were robes in the room. Now I do not know about you ladies but I love my robe and slippers and packing one along takes up too much space so this was a treat. The three of us had lunch at the hotel and got under way around 2:00. We did Disney's Animal Kingdom that day since that park had extra magic hours for hotel guests. Katie and I did the Everest roller coaster with the Yeti. Saw the Nemo show, and 3D Bugs life movie. The park usually closes at 5 but was open until 8 for "us". Unfortunately we did not get to do the Safari because that closed at 5:30 and we did not know it. We then left Animal Kingdom and took a bus to the Wilderness Lodge. What another great hotel. We will stay there for our next visit. We had dinner there and what a hoot! If you ask for ketchup they yell across the room, "we need ketchup here!" Well we discovered that all the ketchup gets put on one table and when she yelled ketchup we ended up with a family bringing over 16 bottles. We laughed so hard and when someone else needed ketchup we had to take the bottles to them. They throw the napkin at you and the straws, have the kids ride stick ponies and race around, sing songs..........family fun! We then headed back to the Grand Floridian exhausted. We were all sound asleep by 9:30.

Thursday morning took us to the Polynesian Hotel where we had a character breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, Pluto and Mickey mouse. Breakfast was served family style with Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon and sausage. We had some unusual juice with gyva (?) that was just yummy. We got our pictures taken and were referred to as cousins. For those of you who do not know who Lilo and Stitch are and have never seen the movie or show everyone is a cousin. From there we headed to the Magic Kingdom where we dragged Bill onto space mountain. Bill does not like roller coasters and he was trying to make Katie happy. Well I honest to goodness laughed so hard sitting behind Katie's screams and in front of Bill's yelling that I wet my pants. Thank goodness I had extra shorts with me. I have not laughed that hard in years. This bladder thing is a pain, lol. We stayed in the Magic Kingdom until 6:00. We saw the afternoon parade and the 5:00 show in front of the castle. We headed back to the hotel, showered and then did a wonderful gourmet dinner right at the Grand Floridian. Katie wanted a midnight swim and then we all headed off to sleep.

Friday morning another 7:00 am wake up call. We did a quick breakfast and then headed to MGM studios. We only did 3 things there

Good morning! LI-Deb and Nancy, glad to see you made it home safely. Deb, I totally understand about being too busy to get together. You could be in Orlando for a month and still not see and do all there is to do. Happy to hear you had a fun trip in spite of bumping heads. The hotels are gorgeous, and I enjoyed your pictures. I need to get mine loaded on the computer to post. I've been meaning to post sooner, but have been kind of overwhelmed.

Speaking of bumping heads, to make a long story short, Mom is on the warpath because Lisa and I didn't reply fast enough to an email she sent regarding Dad. Forget that I was in Orlando with no computer access, on the road driving back, and then answered as soon as I got it, or that Lisa was out-of-town helping her BIL make arrangements for her MIL to move up here to an assisted living facility sometime soon since she has Alzheimer's and was driving the wrong way down US1 a few weeks ago!

Not only that, but while I was in, she said she knew she shouldn't say something since I was gaining weight... I told her I had LOST 7 lbs. She said, well, you don't look it. Can you believe that??? It's no wonder my self image is so poor. I told her the next time she gained I was going to point it out to her. She said OK, but she hadn't gained weight. I told her YES, she had. She's always telling me she can't understand why as busy as she is that she keeps putting on weight. She said, she knew she'd put on 10 lbs. since she stopped going to Curves, but she was aware of it. Then she added, she didn't need to be reminded of it. I said, NEITHER DO I! and walked out of the room to talk to Dad.

Dad fell again a few days ago and cut his arm, plus it's very sore. He couldn't get out of the chair yesterday and we were afraid she was going to have to call 911 and take him to the hospital to have it x-rayed. Michael and Lauren and the girls stayed, so Michael could take the rocker and swivel off his chair and replace it with a high box he built to give it stability and make it easier for Dad to get up. Fortunately, he was able to get up. I still think they should have taken him to the hospital. If he'd been admitted for 3 days, he'd have been eligible for up to 120 or 160 days of care at an assisted living facility for the kind of care he needs, which might make it possible for him to do better at home, plus it would give Mom a break. That didn't happen. His lift chair still hasn't been ordered and a new mattress hasn't been purchased. I've tried and tried to get her to do these things and offered to help, but it still hasn't been done. Lisa has power of attorney, so she's the only one who can override Mom. She said she knows if she does, it will probably be the end of their relationship. Mom is already mad as a hornet that she signed over power of attorney to her and blames the attorney who spelled it all out for her when she agreed to. Lauren's crew finally got away late afternoon. I don't know if they spent the night at a motel or still tried to drive straight through to MD.

On a more positive note, things have been going well with Tim. He seems more like himself. I am continuing my positive thinking to the best of my ability. It is an ongoing learning process. I went to watch him speak at UNF the other day during a panel discussion and it was fascinating. He even got me involved by planting a question in the group about how does being an entrepreneur affect your personal life. I didn't know it was a plant, and raised my hand before I even thought about it and said I could answer that. LOL! Which I did.

Erin left a message yesterday letting me know the wedding they were going to in NYC in Sept. has been canceled, but her babysitter is taking a vacation from 3/19 to 3/23 and she wanted to know if I could babysit for Jackson then instead. Tim and I talked about it this morning, and I'm going to. :-) It will be easier doing it just during the day instead of night and day. She may have her step-mom and grandmother come double team him when they go to NYC in Dec. instead of Sept.

Tim is at the office, but we are planning to do brunch when I get out of church, then finally go see the movie, "Music and Lyrics". We had planned to go yesterday evening, but he was sleeping so soundly that I decided not to wake him up.

Sassy, I'm glad your DS wasn't seriously hurt. Hope Sara is doing well this week. How's she taking not having volleyball?

Need to get ready for church. Weather has turned chilly and damp after being so beautiful last week.
