Sassy about Disney!

Sassy Bill and I stayed at the Contemporary back on our honeymoon 26 years ago. Back then all that Disney had to offer for hotels was the Contemporary and the Polynesian. We wished back then we could have stayed at the Polynesian. I will say the the Grand Floridian is the best.........its the newest on the monorail circle. They are actually tearing down a section of the Contemporary and I guess rebuilding it. About things to do like spa treatments you have to have enough time. I found doing the 4 parks in 3 days just too busy and not enough down time. How long are you guys staying? We found MGM not that interesting and crowded because ESPN was broadcasting there this weekend live. I bit over whelming for us. I think the Grand Floridian even though its the fanciest was very relaxful. But I care for the Victorian look over the sleek mondern look. Did you guys take the meal plan? If not do.........its worth it. We did not take it because Bill was afraid it would restrick where we could eat but it doen't. Comes out to $39.00 a day per person. Well worth it. On Thursday morning we did the breakfast and that was almost $80 for the 3 of us and then that night we did dinner and that was $120.00. Lets not forget the soda, water and pretzels and popcorn while walking around the park too. On the meal plan you get a self serve meal(like breakfast), a snack(like popcorn or ice cream at a park)

I hope that your cleansing is not as 'wearing' as you thought it would be.

Most people seem to prefer Universal over MGM, as far as that kind of park goes. Sea World is very entertaining too and the lines weren't nearly as long. Those are things that are out of the Disney parks though.

I can help you out about shopping and restaurants. ;-)

Cocoa Beach is the closest one

We liked Universal better than MGM, too and Sea World is our favorite.

When we lived down there many moons ago we got sick of the "lets go to Disney" from company, lol. But since moving back to NY we have only had 2 stays/trips there. Ten years ago we drove our car and even though we stayed on Dishney grounds we did drive to Sea World. This time we just flew in and then used Disney's ground transportation since we knew we only had 3 full days to "have fun". Next trip though I will do Sea World with Katie. If I do not rent a car then I will find out about a Taxi but Sea World is a must. Plus you are never too old for that. Animal Kingdom is a "to do" Sassy. But you probley won't need an entire day. Well Christmas time.......not sure of how crowded it would be. But we did everything but the Safari and the Rapid ride (we did not want to get soaking wet).
