Mornin'Ladies!

We have a bit of an ice skating rink outside our door this morning. The freezing rain, sleet, snow combo of yesterday has everything including our back door frozen solid. DH was up about 6:15 with my hairdryer trying to get the back door open for Otto to get out into the yard for his morning "business". He got it open but it promptly froze up again. He went out a few minutes ago and I really thought he was going to slide down the 3 steps from the house to the yard. He managed to sort of slide over the platform part of the step to grab onto the handrail and then cautiously went down the steps but the yard is frozen solid as well. He's going to attempt to get the snowblower out and cut through this mess to clear the sidewalk. Someone definitely did not read the memo about the coming of spring!

I've definitely been suffering from LOEME (lack of engergy, motivation and enthusiasm) these past few days. After seeing the weather outside I was tempted to get back into bed and pull the covers up over my head but knowing I was a bit disgusted with myself the past few days I got myself up out of bed and headed for the treadmill. Pushed myself to go a little faster for a longer period of time this morning. It feels so good when I'm done-so why don't I remember that every morning?

Plans originally were for me to head to Costco this morning but since my trunk is frozen shut and road conditions are still a little iffy and there's really nothing I need that desperately I think I'll just hunker down on the home front and do some triage and clean up. That LOEME definitely effected the laundry pile and clutter. It's amazing how a few days of not paying attention to this stuff and quickly it accumulates. The same pile of stuff is laying on my desk as well.

I'm going to pull out my crockpot and make a beef minestrone soup for dinner. And I think a loaf of homemade bread would be great to go along with it.

That's about it from my neck of the woods. Hope everyone enjoys a super Saturday!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone----

Looking for signs of spring and so far the only one is the steadily falling rain, which is landing atop about 4-5 inches of snow and making for interesting driving and walking.

Chatting with the gal from Texas who taught that class yesterday, she asked if I was sore yet.

Good morning ladies … I got up this morning full of energy and ambition … decided to sit down on the sofa, prop my feet on the ottoman, and enjoy my coffee.
