Fairly uneventful day. Another fairly busy day at work for me. That last hour of work gets me every day. Just can't wait to grab my coat and bag and make a run for it.
Dinner was leftover sauce and meatballs. DH goes into withdrawal without his weekly fix! DS arrived home from work about the time we were finishing up dinner with a rather large box in his hands. DH said oh good you got it...I'm looking at both of them wondering what has arrived home now. We are now the proud of owners of a chain saw...what in the world we're doing with a chain saw in the middle of the burbs I'm not quite sure. Apparently it was used and abused by someone and DS is rebuilding it with a "short block". I have no idea what that means other than what are we doing with a chain saw? I almost did choke on my food this evening as well when DH was telling me one of the guys at work keeps bugging him to go with him upstate but his reply was that he's sticking close to home to help me more around the house...not sure who he was referring to...kept looking around for someone that has offered some assistance as of late!
Otto and I headed out for our after dinner walk. It was definitely walker vs. walkee this evening. Otto determined that it was most definitely going to be a stroll with plenty of pit stops and seeing what he could find to eat off the sidewalk before I caught him...Otto 1...me 0. Got pulled in front of an oncoming school bus-when that dog wants to go somewhere he goes and me right along with him.
I got my new Cooking Light magazine today so I'm now ready to hunker down in the recliner for the evening. Now that American Idol is down to a smaller group I have more interest in watching it although never did quite make it to the end last night.
cheese.....dessert....(if I had a wish it would be that I could eat all I wanted not get fat(ter) and go to Karen's house for dinner every single night)...
Yesterday was a busy day again........but at least I started it out on my terms. Work was busy and and long. My boss was gone all morning which was nice. I caught up on some files and organized some files for when he returned. However one of the files that is closing on Friday......the trustee (estate) lives in Texas and I had Fed-exed the docs for him to sign since he will not be there........well I messed up. I was more upset then my boss. He told me not to worry. The evil part of me hopes this closes in escrow because the secretary at the other attorney's office is a big snot, nasty and unhelpful. There is a certain code between legal secretaries that you just look out for each other.......argh! At lunch time I ran to the bank and then Kohl's. Bought myself a pair of black jeans and a cute skirt. Got out of the office at 5:00 on the dot and quickly showered and got ready to meet up with my mom and sister. Bill took Rob and Katie out to dinner and I went to a fashion show. The show was just alright and $30 worth of Chineese raffle tickets later and nothing to show. But it was a night out. I counted my points for the night and although I used 12 flex points I counted everything. Came home at 11:30 to discover I had been locked out. Once I found our hide-a-key I was in. House was quiet at that point.
Patty: I love when we used to take Bingo out to the park like that and let him run. He would run just so far. You made me laugh because my first thought would have been to Rick if you want me to hit something go stand in front of the car............men! Susan: You really made me laugh too when you husband proclaimed his love for helping around the house. Do they see in color or black & white. Mine never sees things on the same level as me. The chain saw thing is funny too and I can so relate to it. Just can not say enough about that stuff. Jdeb: Another recipe.......you are good. My guys are not into trying new stuff. How is your portion control going? Donna L: You sound like you were busy too today. Frozen pizza......yuck! Where are you going to the beach..........just curious. I love the beach and I wish we had a beach house. Living on Long Island we go and walk the beach often. We love light houses here too. Nancy: That laundry pile just never goes down at my house........always in sight here.

I didn't find too many things in last month's issue that interested me (Cooking Light) but this month's issue has some yummy looking recipes.
Dinner is ready; but no one is home to eat :o) … fear not, they’ll be arriving shortly.
