Good morning everyone. Rhonda, happy to hear from you. So glad you enjoyed your time with Jackson! Continued prayers for your dad. Lori, the tattoo is beautiful. Very cool!
Today, be aware of how you are spending your 1,440 beautiful moments, and spend them wisely.
A show of hands from those who feel so often their time isn't their own! Every day we have some place we need to be, something we need to be doing. And usually it's on someone else's schedule. It gets a bit overwhelming at times. The simple beauty of happiness and contentment can get lost in the rush of the days. The joy of taking the time to do what matters to you can easily get pushed aside. Regardless of what we need to get done in a day those 1440 moments are still ours to make choices about. We may have to be doing something for others but we can decide how we want to do it. We can make the choice to give our best to the day

Good Morning,
Good message this morning Miss P. So much of my day belongs to others and to others needs. There are just some days when I get to the time that belongs to me I'm too tired to enjoy it!
I'm running on empty this morning and definitely not ready for Monday. It was a fun but exhausting weekend with DD. We shopped all day on Saturday. I'm not sure how much DH enjoyed the trip. He doesn't like shopping or crowds and it was a bit chilly to be outside unless you were directly in the sun. At one point he took the keys and went and sat in the car. But DD got several new pairs of shoes for work and I was tempted as there were some very cute shoes! But I did go into Geoffrey Beane and got a nice pair of gaucho pants. They're a color called smoked heather-originally $45 and I got them for $13 and a pair of kakhis for work for $11 also a cut floral v neck top with fluttery cap sleeves also on sale. Sunday was another activity filled day. Up and out to get to Costco. After Costco I needed to go to Best Buy to return a CD but since they weren't open yet we ended up in Target. DD loves to rummage through the sales racks. Lots of good buys but we both ran into the dilema of too big, too small, too tight, better on the hanger than on the person. Then off to Best Buy and to the grocery store. A quick unloading of the car and a quick lunch and off to The Gap where I picked up a nice pair of light weight summer pants for $19 and to Ann Taylor Loft. Tried on a lot of things in there but didn't leave there with anything. We finally got home and there was supposed to be a roast roasting in the oven but the someone who was home to put it in forgot. So it was plan B for dinner with turkey burgers. Needless to say by last night I was exhausted and ready for a good night's sleep. That didn't happen either. Otto had me up, DH kept pulling all the covers off and then the snoring began. DD had also gone out and she had said that it was going to be a late or rather an early arrival home so when the light was still on at 3:30 that was the end of sleep for me. I have had several mornings of really early awakening and I think it has caught up with me. By 4:30 I turned off the alarm and knew that a workout wasn't going to happen either. I was hoping someone would at least pick up around here but that didn't happen either-wishful thinking on my part. I'm anticipating a very long work day.
I have some chicken bubbling away for a chicken soup for dinner tonight. DD is staying until tomorrow so thought that would be a dinner everyone would enjoy.

Good morning everyone.
Lori
Good morning!
I feel a little like Susan today - on the go all weekend, not a great night's sleep last night, and feeling a little groggy this morning.

Good morning.. As I read your thought for the day.. I kept thinking.. no kidding my time is not my own..... I sat down to read a little email and just relax with my coffee.. UMM That ain't happening... First my DH called with a question.. Then my Oldest daughter called with some news about my Middle daughter's x... not good news.. One email was a question about a bridal shower for my OD... good grief people... But I made the choice that these things can wait and I am still on the computer.. hehe... :)

I've definitely felt my time hasn't been my own lately even though I don't work away from home.
