Good morning everyone. I really enjoyed reading the answers to the bonus question on the Friday Five. Makes me so happy to be in my forties. I hope each of you are seeing signs of Spring where you are. The drive into work was so beautiful yesterday, lots of things blooming.Oahe, really looking forward to your post of your work.

Good morning, Patty. I've been trying to make all my days "good" days no matter what actually happens. A lot of it is a state of mind. Of course, there are always things that go beyond that, but the day-to-day things are better if we don't let them get the best of us.
I've gotten the laundry put away at last and ran more errands yesterday. Got 2 good size, red, double hibiscus bushes, 6 multi-color lantana plants, and 2 more alstroemerias. Now, I just need time to plant them. The yard really needs a lot of TLC. I haven't even cut back what little winter damage we got this year on plants.
I spent from 2:30 to 7 at the nursing home with Dad yesterday. Mom was there most of the time, one of Dad's brothers was there for hours, and Tim came by for about half an hour after work. He'd been there at lunch time. It wasn't a good day for Dad, but he started doing a little better towards evening. He does have a urinary tract infection and it appears the pseudo gout has shown up in both wrists. They are very sore. He was supposed to have them X-rayed last night.
When I got home, I put on my bathing suit as soon as I had put away all my purchases from the day. I spent 45 minutes swimming and doing exercises in the pool. It felt wonderful! I saw yesterday morning that I had finally dropped another lb. for a total of 9 lbs. lost. Now, if I could lose another 20... I am on the right track though.
Mom has a dr's. appt. across town this morning, so I will go in early today. She will come in this afternoon. I'm hoping Lisa will get by in the evening. I'm getting in very little computer time, so I try to make the most of it when I do. Still don't know all that's going on with everyone, but I'll get there.
Hope you have a great day!

Sunday was such a pleseant day then Monday was a bear. Arguments on the home front Monday morning which lead into a sour day completely. Not good when the mom and dad are not on the same page........I think this could lead to WWIII. Enough said and I will drop it. Unfortunatly my tone was set for the day and I carried it throughout the entire day. To boot Katie woke up with one of her migrane headaches so she was home. I sent her back to bed and husteled into work. I took a 2 hour lunch break to be home with her but had to go back in to close the office. Lets just say I feel like I am carrying a huge load of office responsibilities lately. Home at 5:30 to cook a meal and clean up around here. Enjoyed DWTS and What about Brian in my room alone, just like I wanted. This morning I grabbed my shower first and I am finished and ready to head into the office. I plan on getting out at 3 but gave Miss Katie the word to walk home from the bus if I was not there and to not bother her father. I have not heard the weather but I think its supposed to be warmer. Well time to finish the makeup and head into the office. Sorry I did not respond to yesterdays posts........just my time is not my own like Miss P posted. And I highly believe it never will be with this family.

Happy Tuesday.
Good Morning,
Spring is springing this morning! DH noticed that the neighbors crocuses are popping up out of the ground and we're supposed to have temperatures in the 70's today. In honor of that I have my lighter weight bargain kakhis on this morning and DD made me a bright red chunky bead necklace last night that looks just perfect with my red striped shirt.
With the exception of Otto's potty break at 3AM I slept really soundly last night. I was a bit fearful that I wasn't going to get back to sleep. Unfortunately the alarm went off at 5 and I promptly turned it off and went back to sleep so no workout again this morning. Otto and I will definitely get out after dinner tonight to enjoy this mild weather.
Hoping that the office temperatures aren't quite as chilly as yesterday. We all sat with our coats on until late afternoon. It felt like a refrigerator pretty much all through the building. The building owner-who dresses in turtlenecks and blazers in the middle of July came in yesterday and asked me if I was cold. I was going to say that I just love sitting in an office with my coat on-but I bit my tongue and just agreed that it was cold.
DD is heading back to MA at some point this morning or early afternoon. It's been fun having her here, exhausting but fun! Other DD is headed for a sonogram this afternoon. I know the doctor said she felt it was unlikely that she has fibroids but I know she'll be glad when this is over and she knows one way or the other.
Work was a bit on the slow side yesterday and I'm still with out a computer which is just really annoying. Everytime I have to make a phone call or check something I end up having to go to another computer. Word has it Computer Peter will be in today. We'll see!
Deb-I hope today is a better one for you. I know how the tension on the homefront can have an effect on your whole day.
Nancy-good thoughts coming for your DH!
Rhonda-certainly still a lot going on for you. Continued good thoughts and prayers for your dad and the family.
Well time to get moving for the day! Hope the day holds good things for you all!
Susan
Even though I have a semi empty nest here, I can certainly relate to your frustrations in your life right now.
Nancy,
Thank you again for that thoughtful post.
