I guess the day has been a little of each. The good...a great workout this morning and a pretty good day of eating. I could have used a whistle for my role as playground monitor at work. We'll just say my coworker knows how to instigate, Sunshine is Sunshine and perhaps I should have just let them go at it but ever the peacemaker I made my attempt to bring peace and order to the land before the raging lunatic might emerge from his office. The tax appointment was as I expected-the tax man will once again be getting a generous contribution from us not as bad as last year but still have to write the check.

DD had an appointment right before me and as I driving there she calls me to let me know that her ex-boyfriend is working there. They didn't part on very good terms and she felt a bit awkward at best.

I was less than overjoyed to come home and find the sink piled with dirty dishes, clean ones still in the dishwasher and then everyone sits down so that I can finish putting dinner on the table. Then after dinner everyone leaves me sitting there with the mess. I really shouldn't have to tell adults to do their share. There are just days when I feel that everyone thinks that my office job is somehow less tiring and demanding than everyone elses.

The King decided we should take a longer walk this evening. Some days it's almost like he senses when I need to be out a bit longer. I wasn't thrilled at first with the longer route he chose. He does choose the route by the way-there's really not much you can do to make him change his mind. It did help ease the mood.

I guess I'll get the coffee pot ready for the morning and take the dishes out of the drainer and then change into my jammies.

Hope you've all had a good day and a good night's sleep awaits us all!

The "good" is that Dad had another good day. I didn't get to go see him, but Tim went twice and said Dad told him he'd rather be where I am (working in the yard). I told Tim when he went back to tell him I could sure use some help. He's the one who taught me to love yard work. Mom called this afternoon very excited. She said she'd brought a Sinatra CD to play for

Rhonda

So happy to hear that your Dad has had another good day. Wonderful news!

Hope Katie is Ok and that it's just the food that she ate. I always worry about Otto and the things he gets into that one of these days he is just not going to be able to tolerate it. Hope she's on the mend!

Your pool time sounds so wonderful. I loved reading about your swim last night. It sounded so soothing and beautiful!

Rhonda I am glad to read that your dad had 2 good days......very encouraging. Hopefully it is a sign of better things to come. I am sorry to read that Katie is so sick. She did not by some chance eat any of those dog foods that were recalled? Several animals were reported so ill. I hope she is feeling better by the morning. Great job on those missing pounds and have fun at that new class.

Susan does your family know my family????? It really must stink that you have to play warden at work........so not one of your job requirements. Hope it settles for you. I give you lots of credit and patience. I think I would have moved on by now. About the family and dinner wait to read my check in post.........lol. I dislike coming home to the dishes in the sink and the cleans ones still inside the dishwasher.........so annoying. The fact that they just get up and leave you has happened here on more then one occasion. Now I usually announce about 3/4 of the way through dinner, to make sure everyone takes his/her plate and a few extras. Just me nagging everyone. Hope tomorrow is better at work and in the kitchen. Paying the tax man stinks too.........we have not done our yet either. We usually file right before the dead line because our accountant has to do our business taxes first.

Gosh today was a slow moving day at our office. The 3:00 magic hour took forever to arrive. Work was busy because we had a closing in the office plus a problem with one of the files for tomorrows closing. Boss man raced back and forth.........we were all glad to see him leave right before our lunch time. However he called 6 times within our 1 hour break. I finally picked up the phone and politely reminded him we were at our lunch.............his tone changed. After work I met Katie at home, did a batch of laundry, set the table (Rob had already emptied the dishwasher, Susan. That is his daily job as soon as he gets home from school), breaded my pork chops and then headed to the nail salon for my 5:00 appointment. While I was gone, Miss Katie did her homework. I proceeded to nod off in the chair at the salon........my early morning hour caught up with me. The nail tech was laughing at me. Once I got home I finished up dinner. While I was doing that Bill, Rob and Katie went outside and played a game of catch together. Now my day got good when during dinner Billy and Katie hook into a shouting match at the table. I thought Bill was going to back hand both of them........he is 22 she is 13, go figure. I yelled at both of them but looked at Katie too long and she took it personally that I "always" stick up for the boys because they are older and boys. So instead of calming down and toning down her voice she got louder until we had to banish her to her room upstairs.........anyone want a teenage girl? After a 20 minute cool down she took her shower and is not speaking to me. Billy has gone out, Rob is doing homework and Bill is in the car trailer working on Robbie's race car in the back yard. It is always something around here. Well the dryer is swirling with yet another batch of clothes, dinner has been cleared and put away and well I am having trouble keeping my eyes open. Although tomorrow is Friday I need to go in the office for a few hours to go over some files with my boss. I must leave by 11:00 because I have an appointment to have my hair done (cut and color). From there its home to do some cleaning and organizing. I think I will put up a few Easter decorations and get some goodies for the baskets. I hope everyone had a great day today. I know I should exercise but I am really exhausted tonight. Sweet dreams everyone!
