Hi, all....You show flo PATTY!!! Good for you for being determined, taking charge and making changes. You go girl!!
Funny how some of you can relate to my hording food over here. At least I know I am not alone.
OAHE...Donna...don't worry about the weekend eating...today is a new start. Hope you are feeling better and didn't catch one of those flu bugs going around.
NANCY...Glad you are feeling better. Too bad you couldn't take a day off to rest up another day. Good for you for getting DH to shop even if it was online. What a help that all is. I hear the Lands End bathing suits are really good to order online. I understand having all that extra food in the house with being so far from town. I think mine started because I could only go to the store once a week and with 4 kids, good sales, I would just stock up.
SUSAN...it is the kind of day that the dampness stays in your bones just like yesterday. Soup sounds really good. I think since you are the shopper and preparer of meals, your dinner ideas should rule. ;-) Anyway...good positive attitude and I hope you do have the good week you planned.
JAZZERDEB....good observation about Patty's workouts. You are so right! I miss my cooking light magazine arrivals, but I really just read them and didn't use many of the recipes. I did save all my old issues and I go to them once in awhile.
DONNA...sounds like you had a very nice relaxing weekend and good time. I bet the cold temperatures are a rude awakening. Hope you have a good work week so you can keep the good weekend vibes going.
KAREN...your meal of bread and cheese sounds good to me. So easy to keep breaking off a piece of each and popping it in your mouth. If it is good (NY) Italian bread...it is all over for me.
KAT...sorry about your accident but thank goodness you are ok. Hope you don't have any residual aches from it today. It is hard to get back "on the horse" after something like that but you will get your confidence back in no time.
Well...I am still trying to recoup from the weekend. DD and I ended up going to the funeral/burial yesterday. It was the first Jewish one we ever went to and we were surprised that the burial included the actual burial and the family and friends did it. It was cold damp and drizzly and I not surprised I am achy and tired today. The service was at 10 am and it we didn't get out of the cemetary until after 1 pm. After that we went to granddaughters b'day party at Gymboree and then to the house to eat. Not one morsal of cake or dessert passed my lips. Not going to tell you about the slice of pizza and the baked ziti I ate...oh I just did. AT 7:30 I hit a wall and I am still there.
Still forced myself to take a body sculpting class this morning but didn't stay for the step since my knee is complaining a bit. Got some produce shopping done, put a turkey breast in the oven and expecting DD to come by so I can watch granddaughter while she goes to the dentist. I have to recharge my batteries.
OK...that is where I am at and I don't think I will be shaking things up too much today or this week. Just have to get through this month of subbing lots of classes.
Good for you for deciding you will pick your frame of mind!!! Not easy with all you juggle. I so wish we lived closer. We go could for walks and have nice long therapy sessions!!!!
So happy to think of your DD at her new job today!!
My coworker and my boss are on vacation which leaves me with Sunshine and Blondie! I'll be thinking of you!!!!
Wild turkerys??? How cool!! Maybe it's time to check with a dr about your ear, it sounds like it's not getting better. Hope work isn't too bad this week.
