Could have been better with the eating but things got out of hand with granddaughter here. I still have to clean up the mess she made in the family room and it is 8:30 already. I didn't want DD to do it since she looked beat.

Hope your day was good Nancy. Hope you are feeling better too.

Super tired this evening. Not sure why-not a real busy day at work. Really don't like taking lunch at 11:30 as it made the afternoon all that much longer.

Took Otto out for our after dinner walk. Apparently the whole neighborhood was walking their dogs at the same time and Otto was thrilled to meet up with his social circle. They are quite the assortment. With all the social commitments it took well over an hour to complete our walk. That's what happens when you're good looking and popular-him not me :)!

Came home and got the checkbook balanced-yeah for $0.00-love to see all those numbers match. I spoke to DD for awhile. She's feeling a bit overwhelmed by the new job but really likes the people and they've already told her that it's going to take awhile to learn everything she needs to know which takes the edge of her feeling like she needs to everything right away.

It's now definitely time to head to bed. Good night everybody-pleasant dreams!

OMG you lost me some place around the track team.........holy smokes you did a lot today. There is no way you could ever have a paying job with the running you do. I must admit that used to me a few years ago but once the boys quit hockey and cub scouts and Katie left the girl scouts

Exhausted here too.......seems to be the trend for tonight, lol. I started the morning off on the wrong foot and it was no one else's fault but my own. Woke Bill up at 6:30 and then went back to sleep. Billy yelled upstairs as he was leaving at 8:00. Not good since I needed to shower, make my bed, have breakfast, organize the house a little and be there at 9:00. Well I never made it and walked into the office at 9:30. Thank goodness my boss is really flexible with me. But it set the tone for the morning........our phones came off service at 9:30 so I had no organize time. They never stopped, and of course all the problem files were my first calls. I worked through half my lunch break to make up my lateness. Came home for 30 minutes to eat a salad and throw a fresh batch of wash into the machine. The kids are home from school this week and both did the chores I left for them so that was encouraging. I had suggested to Katie in the morning to try and get together with a friend. I suggested she contact the bowling alley and see if they had open bowl today. Low and behold she listened. Cleaned her room, put away her laundry, called the bowling alley (open bowl from 9 to 3), called a friend who was able to join her. The girls walked to the shop where Daddy gave Miss Katie a few dollars then the girls walked to the bowling alley (on Main Street, 1 block away from the shop), they bowled 2 games then hit Friendly's on the way home (right in-between the bowling alley and the shop). I believe she had a nice early afternoon, which is good. She spends so much time alone it bothers me and makes me feel guilty. I got out of work at 5:30...still played catch up through the day and then hit the butcher for some meat loaf. That was dinner! I also ran to the CVS to buy the kids candy, Easter grass, cellophane wrap, and cards. Home to cook dinner, eat, clean up, more laundry, some TV to watch DWTS and now going upstairs to hit the sack. I believe Bill is dozing on the couch so I should wake the pour man. Tomorrow I will get up early and be organized and out the door by 8:30, it makes for a much smoother running day. Hope you all have a wonderful night and a good day tomorrow.

GO GATORS! Had to get that in before I forgot. NCAA football champs and basketball champs 2 years in a row! What an athletic program. I have both flags on my car and may have to figure out a way to put my big orange "#1" finger on the antenna of my car for tomorrow. Do you think that's too much...?? ;-)

I was on the run much of the day, but not to the extent that you were, Karen. I can see why you'd be ready to crash tonight. After trying to cut back on wheat a little, I can sure sympathize with those who have celiac disease when they try to grocery shop!

Got Katie to the vet and dropped her off for IV fluids and new blood work. They were supposed to call when she was ready. In the meantime, I went to the ATM, picked up some cat food, and went to Hallmark for just ONE card -- $42.00+ later I had gotten the card, an Easter bag with matching tissue and 2 CD's for Dad. I'm the kind of the customer they just love.

Went by Lowe's and got a tray of pink begonias to the 8 I'd already gotten the other day. Dropped those and the dog food off at the house and did a few things around here before taking off for the Life Care Center. Stopped at Panera on the way to get some soup and cookies for Dad. By the time I got to the LCC, I had only 15 minutes to spend with Dad before I had to leave for a dr. appt. He was with other people at a table, but essentially alone. We really like one of us to be with him at meals. Tim was going to try to get by, but got a late start to work after working very late last night, and Mom was running late too.

Dashed to my appt., then went back to the LCC to see Dad. He was not doing as well today cognitively and physically. I know he's going to have up days and down days, but the down days are always hard to see. We visited some and Mom came in after Dad had dozed off. She wasn't feeling well today herself. I stayed a couple of hours, then went to pick up Katie. Her blood work came back fine (thank goodness!) and she was so glad to see me. I got her a bag of special food for dogs with digestive problems. So far, the bill is $500+., and she needs to have a re-check next Monday. Still, what are you going to do when it's one of your babies??

The pool guy called and left a message today about what to do for our green pool. Stopped and got 5 lbs. of granulated chlorine (yuck!) and put that in where the filter basket is. I added some water to bring the water level up too. By tonight, it was a much lighter shade of green, so that's encouraging.

Rob was sick, coughing, stuffed up nose, sore throat, nauseated, and diarrhea. Sounds almost like what he had a month or so ago. He stayed home in bed. Sure hated for him to miss school. I gave him some orange juice, vitamin C, and tonight some ginger tea for his stomach. Hope he'll be able to go back tomorrow. I had another allergy headache, so I took something for it and went to lie down.

I felt better later this evening, so I got the kitchen cleaned up and changed our linens, along with some other piddly things around here. Watched most of "Dancing with the Stars", but had to turn the channel with the basketball finals came on.

Nancy, I hope you're 100% soon.

Grace, grandkids sure will keep you busy, won't they?

Patty, I admire that you were able to get in a workout with all you had to do. What a coach you must have!

Kat, good for you for sticking to your guns on your vacation this year!

Susan, I'm glad you have your handsome escort for your nightly walks. He sounds like a lovely companion.

I'm tired, but I got 2 health related newsletters today I'd like to skim before I turn in. Guess I should dry my hair too.

'Night.
