Good Morning,
Another nonspring feeling day. I see the signs all around me but the weather is just not cooperating. I have a feeling it may be one of those years where we jump right into the hot weather without having too much of spring like weather. Big rain storm headed our way for the end of the weekend. Certainly not looking forward to that!
I vaguely remember the radio going off this morning and DH poking me to either turn it off or get up. I must have turned it off and gone right back to sleep because the next thing I knew I had to get up. No workout this morning. I have such a brain fog this week and absolutely no clue why. I've been leaving the stove on under pans, couldn't figure out what I had done with a yogart I had taken out of the refrigerator yesterday morning. I finally found it last night on my ironing board. Yet I came up with a client's wife's name from about 10 years ago. I am a bit frightened!
Miss Sunshine left the office about 11AM to check on her daughter who called to be picked up from school. A little while later she said she wasn't coming back to work. Her DD is 14 but she won't leave her home so I'm curious to see whether she'll be coming in. It did make for another very quiet day on the workfront. It's been very quiet between us and I prefer it that way and I'm waiting to see how long it takes for her to complain about that.
Nothing much else going on around here. So very glad that it's Friday!
CL-Deb-glad to hear things are going so well with the job and you're enjoying it.
Karen-nice to have you back from your excursion!
Donna-sorry to hear your DH is having such a difficult time with the job situation. Having lived it through DD it is a frustrating experience. Probably one the reasons why I'm still messing in my head with putting together a resume.
Well guess I'd better get my act together since it's been taking me awhile to do that lately! Hope everyone has a fantastic Friday!

It was 91 here yesterday afternoon and should be hot through Saturday. Sunday morning it's supposed to drop to the low 70's (which is better than the 65 they were predicting) and rain.
I did go to the Zumba class last night, and other than feeling a little loopy from cold medicine, missing some cues and continuing to spin in my head after we'd stopped, I did well. It was so fun, as always. I'm getting ready to go to her 9:30 class this morning.
The St. Augustine Art Show is this weekend. Tim suggested that we stay at a hotel there tomorrow night (shock!) and make it a mini trip, even though it's just half an hour away. I'll call to see what I can get today.
After the class this AM, I'm heading to the nursing home. Mom will be running late due to her hair appt., and we don't like Dad to have lunch alone. He was doing better yesterday with feeding himself his whole lunch and taking his own shoes and socks off!! Every bit of progress is wonderful to see!
Better get a move on. Enjoy your Friday!

Good morning ladies …

Wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your photos from your trip.
It's actually easy and inexpensive to get certified, I just have no desire to take on the responsibility of teaching. I'm one of those girls who just wants to have fun!! :-)
Christine has let 2 other new teachers take over a number in classes recently, and they have a long way to go. Certification does not necessarily a good teacher make! I imagine that with your friend's background, she should do very well though.
If you take a class, PLEASE let me know what you think of it. You just may have a new first love. ;-)

You are so right that there is a big difference between getting certified and being a good teacher. Just look at all the group exercise instructors out. I shudder when I do. I know people who got certified without ever giving a class or even taking one!! I did the opposite...I practiced, taught, and researched before getting certified and I do love it. I decided to teach when I realized I could give better classes than what I was taken. I just couldn't waste my time anymore doing schlocky classes or doing the same thing over and over again because instructors didn't change up their routines. I could do a video for that. So, that is why I am an instructor and can't give it up.
So glad you are enjoying your Rhumba. Are you getting addicted? The best exercise is one you actually enjoy and look forward to doing.

Keep on keeping on!
