Karen your post is filled with so much stress it cries! I am so sorry you have been going through this mess called family. Add to it the home chores, your dd confirmation, a family trip and medical issues. You have a lot going on and it sounds like you are carrying this weight alone and that is not fair. I just hope you get through today without any scrapes and the inlaws sleek back to their own home destination. I am guessing that they plop themselves and offer no help. I can figure that with men but your MIL surprises me. Was she always like this? Sounds like such a cold fish, selfish and uncaring. Why do you and your husband continue to put up with her/their crap? Your children must see what is going on and know your feelings, that is not good. Again I am so sorry you have to put up with this. Why didn't you mention medical trouble here. You should know by now we are more then willing to listen, offer advise and help if you need or want some. What are you having done? I hope Wednesday gets here quickly and your life goes back to some normalcy. Hugs to you!

I can not say good morning since it is already after 1:00 PM here. I had to get up at 7:30 and let the dog out then decided to head back under the covers since the weather is so miserable out there. Pouring rain, winds, chilly temps....yuck! I actually have the house to myself right now. Bill dropped Katie off to a friends house for a few hours of girl friend time, then he headed to the shop where he is working swapping motors in the Ford Explorer we bought for me. Rob went to a friends house to help wax his car (inside of coarse) and Billy I believe was heading to the shop to help Bill. I have the washer/dryer going and I just stripped my bed. I need to put fresh sheets on but after I shower and get dressed. I am going to run upstreet and pick up a small roast beef for dinner. They cook fairly quickly and easy. I made some homemade chicken soup on Friday and I believe a nice bowl of that for lunch will taste great for me. After I run the store I think I will read a little while sitting in the den. I will light some candles for the effect, lol. Our fireplace is not working yet and I still have the candles in there so I might just treat myself to some more "me" time. I have ironing to do also, its always nice to have my work clothes done, heading into the new week. I am going to attach a few more pictures from a few minutes ago. It is Tiger our cat trying to get the new fish I put into the tank yesterday. He is such a crazy and fun cat. Hope you all have a good day today. Those with this Nor-easter storm please stay dry and warm. Those with the mild temps enjoy them. Those being pushed and pulled by family members remember patience is a virtue. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

Karen...I hope you all have a nice time at the Confirmation. I hope you feel better but the impending surgery is probably causing the funk as well as the guests all this time. I am sure you could use some alone time as well as some GF talk time. I didn't know about your surgery so here are my good luck wishes and prayers and hugs ahead of time. I WILL be thinking about you. I hope it isn't too serious and you will be "right as rain" in short order. Try to talk to someone to help the stress level.

Going to stay under wraps today with the storm here. The wind really kicked up and the rain is coming down in sheets (just about). We did go out for breakfast this morning but that is it for me. Had my usual boring egg white omelet with mushrooms and spinach with dry whole wheat toast and decaf tea. I did have to taste a couple of the home fries. Very hard to resist diner home fries. I made some healthy, low fat, fiber rich whole wheat flower muffins. Two different kinds and one of them is the recipe off the Kashi Two Good friends cereal. I just have to have something in the house that will satisfy the dessert, sweet craving. Oh, the rice pudding didn't come out badly either. Realized today I forgot to put the vanilla in.

Susan...you are so good with planning ahead on what to eat during the week. I mostly fly by the seat of my pants and sometimes it shows. I have absolutely no idea what I will be making this week! Hope you don't get hit too hard by the storm. We are supposed to feel it here in Suffolk County more. Sigh I hope not. Friends in Stony Brook lost their power hours ago and the storm isn't full force yet.

Patty...you had me going there for a minute about going out for a run. LOL! Gosh I hope you don't get a full blown headache! You being out in the cold and damp yesterday and the weather today didn't help at all. Take care of yourself today. Yes that would be me ordering chicken in a steak house and probably leaving the leftovers there. What a bummer!

Nancy...that is a lot of riding in one day and then have to go to a benefit tonight. How do you do it?? I hope the soreness goes away and I am sure it is a combination of working out and raking.

Rhonda...So nice to hear you had good time yesterday. Too bad Tim had to rush off and do taxes, but what are you going to do this time of year? LOL about making rice pudding decadent. You are right, but how does Kozy Shack do it? It really isn't bad at all calorie or fat wise. I have heard of people putting sugar and milk on their rice...I guess it is a southern thing.

cl-Deb...I just love to curl up with a book with candles lit. It is the perfect day for it today too with the storm. Hope you are fairing well and the candles won't be a necessity.

DEB/Mn...dressy skirts and tops are perfect for a wedding. In fact, at older DD's wedding the attendants wore skirts and tops of their choice. It really looked nice and those who had different size top and bottoms were very happy. Less alterations were required. Dress shopping for a wedding is stressful, almost as much as bathing suit shopping. I was crazed looking for one for younger DD's wedding. Yes, life is going by very quickly, and I don't have answers for it either. I worry sometimes because after my two health scares, I know I should make the best of the time. I am trying with seeing my family more, but that is about it. I do realize the cleanest house on the block is not important! Sigh...

I think that is about it for now. Hope you all have a nice day.

I disagree with that man - there's no way you could be mistaken for 51!!!

Actually, Patty, your Princess photo could easily be mistaken for a young lady in her twenties, so I better quit putting my foot in my mouth like that man did!!!
