Sun down, Slow down, Sunday
| Sun, 04-15-2007 - 8:32pm |
Sprinkling some magic fairy dust on everyone and just wondering what everyone is up to now that Sunday should be winding down and everyone should be settled down. What kind of day did everyone have? Where you happy about how it turned out? Ready to go back to work, back to school, back to what ever tomorrow brings?

Weather here is yucky too, but I don't think we're getting the brunt of it the way farther north is. Wind is still very strong and a fairly large oak limb is down by the corner of the garage. I'd picked up a bunch of smaller branches earlier today. When I went to meet Tim for dinner, the thermometer at Walgreen's said 54, but with the wind chill, it feels much colder to me. Of course, I had on bermudas, a T, and flip flops, but I also had on a windbreaker.
We had Chili's Chicken Fajita Quesadillas with the lime rice and black beans. They were SO good! Really hit the spot. I think I must have some hidden Hispanic blood in me, because I love all that kind of food and am totally hooked on lime in all kinds of food. We had a wonderful time, much more relaxed and affectionate that it's been in a long time. That is so humongously important to me, and I've found out, to him too. Life is good!
Lisa went to see Dad today and text messaged from her phone that he was doing well. He worked the TV remote today for the first time in quite a while. He said he just made up his mind he was going to do it! Again, life is good. I would be so thankful if he could get well enough to go home. He wants it more than anything. Think I'll take Riley to see him tomorrow.
Speaking of cats, loved the pictures of Tiger, CL-Deb. Can't get over how much he's grown. Animals are so entertaining, and now that he has his own version of Cat TV, he will be very entertained too. Now, I'm wondering if Tiger is a he or she. I know you've told us, but my failing memory is failing me again.
I just went in to peek at Rob's lizard. It is sleeping in it "stone" cave. It is called a Juvenile Banded Uromastyx and is pretty small right now -- maybe 6" long or so. It's got a face only a mother (or guy) could love, I think.

Loved Sarah's confirmation pictures, especially the one with the big smile. I have to feel a little sorry for your in-law's -- him, because he's subjected to and controlled by her; her -- because she has to be incredibly insecure and unhappy with herself. I'll be very happy for you when they're gone.
As for your surgery, it's one of the ones I had in October, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was no worse than it was. I really didn't have to take much in the way of pain medicine. The hardest part was taking it easy, not doing too much, and not lifting too much. That's still hard. If I hadn't had the other 2 procredures, I think I could have done more sooner. The laparoscopic route seems the way to go! I decided to have them take my ovaries too, since they'd be practically non-functional. I figured why keep them around and risk ovarian cancer. With the bio-identical progesterone cream and the estrogen tablets 2X a week, I seem to be doing fine. I notice gravity seems to have taken a little more toll and my hair is suddenly getting curlier, but nothing major. I will keep you in my prayers that all goes well during your surgery and recovery. I have a feeling your DH will come through for you with the kids and all. It's amazing what our families can do when they have to.
Hugs,
