Grace have you ever tried just Core?

Have you ever tried to just follow the Core program and use your 35 flex points for the week? I must say when I have the Core food in the house and I am a "good" girl its very easy. Like today I had scrambled egg whites with mushrooms and canadian bacon for breakfast..........all core. Lunch was a salad with fat free dressing and a homemade chicken, barley, vegtable soup........all core. Dinner is stuffed shells that Bill's aunt made. She is going to WW with me and my MIL. Well the stuffed shells are 3 points but the stuff inside is all core. She stuffed them with fat free ricotta cheese, fat free mozzarella, spinach and broccoli and home made marinara sauce. Pretty good except this afternoon when I came home from work I fixed a cup of tea and had a slice of the blueberry crumb cake from the bakery.

I tried CORE but I eat too much and it doesn't work for me. I am hoping to try flex points for a couple of weeks and get back on track with portion control. I end up eating mostly core foods anyway even with counting points so hopefully I will be able to transition over and keep control over the amount of food I eat. I will try to do the core plan while I am away. I will have to go to the store to get the foods I need in.
I am so glad CORE is working for you. You are making me want to do the CORE program but I know I will just eat way too much. I just looked at the food I have prepared like the stuffed peppers and vegetarian chili and it is all Core foods. I also have cooked chicken breasts and cooked tenderloin of pork. Oatmeal with ff milk is there too for snacks.
I will let you know if I switch over next week. This weekend will make or break me.
Oh I am sure you have plenty of points left for your slice of bakery cake.
