Good Morning,

Thoughts and prayers began my day for the victims, families and survivors of the terrible tragedy at VA Tech. Sassy, I am so very happy to hear that your nephew is safe.

It's another gray, damp day here on LI. I headed to the basement for an early morning run/walk on the treadmill. Not sure what I did but I had the treadmill time going up and not down, then I overflowed the coffee pot so I had coffee all over the place and then had to remove the filter to the sink which was full of water and coffee grounds and of course that ended up more on the floor than in the sink. Yesterday it was a can of unsweetened cocoa all over the kitchen counter. I think my brain is turning to mush.

Nothing much going on around here. The rain had stopped long enough yesterday that Otto and I got to venture out for an after dinner walk. Otto met up with a new friend and several old friends so his day was complete! We'll see how the weather measures up this evening and see if we can get out.

I've let my computer desk become a dumping ground once again so I think I'll take a few minutes this evening and see if I can get my filing done and all this loose stuff sorted through and put in its proper place.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning ladies.

It's pouring rain here, but for some reason I feel bright and chirpy today!

Happy to hear you made it back safely and that your trip was a fun one. How exciting about closing on the house soon! At least todady is Tuesday instead of Monday, so the work week won't be quite as long.

I would love to see a painting of the tulips you described! How awesome to be able to convert what you see to a painting. Such a gift!

The visual of winter white skin made me cringe. LOL! Although I do have a mighty fine farmer's/gardener's tan after the art show this weekend, as does Tim. Erin has been getting the spa on tans where you go to a booth and have it done. Maybe I will give that a try. It's just too damaging to my skin anymore to get a regular tan as dark as I used to. Bad, bad, bad!

It's sunny, about 70, and not quite as windy today, but I'm dragging. The last several days, I've been in one of my tired cycles. Even though I have so much to get done in the house and in the yard, I'm having trouble making myself do it. The trips to the nursing home break up my day so much that it's hard to do anything that gets me dirty and sweaty beforehand, yet once I've sat around for a few hours, I feel semi-comatose. I may have to start taking a couple days or at least one day a

Good afternoon all! I was just chatting way too much at the gym this morning to get here any earlier. Then I just had to eat before it got any later! I knew I had to before I got even hungrier and would eat too much. Trying to take it a little easy today since I have to go out and teach again tonight. Ugh..it isn't until 7 pm and it feels like it is so late for me. Then I don't eat dinner until after I get home and it is really too late to eat, but I can't do kick boxing on a full stomach.

Last night was not a good sleeping one with the sorrow I felt with the Va Tech shootings. I just can't imagine what those parents are going through.

I am glad you are going to join us with the food journal, NANCY. Hopefully I will see what you eat on the flex points and I will get some ideas. I was hoping the same thing that if I have to post my food, I will think twice before putting something in my mouth. I want to weigh in again at WW, but I will have to wait until I get back from my trip. Not worth starting now with knowing I will be going away for 10 days. I will bring my WW books and slide with me and try to stay on program. I am weighing in at home on Monday morning for now. Sorry you were so tired last night but you did have a very full weekend. Hope you caught up on your sleep. Oh, I guess the quiche came out ok...seems like DH liked it.

I don't know why the over flow thing happens with the drip coffee makers every once and awhile SUSAN. I know I have to be careful with the cone shape filters I have with our pot that I don't push it too far down into the holes or I have a mess too. It once happened to me at a party I was waitressing/working. I was so embarrassed but the hostess said it happened to her quite often too. Good for you for getting the workout in with this dull dreary day. Seems like the sun is trying to peak out now.

So glad you had a nice trip, LORI! Oh that doesn't sound good that you are still suffering with the sinus infection and after only one hour, work is not going well. Hope it gets better.

RHONDA, it is so good to hear how much your Dad has improved and his appetite has increased and that is always a very good sign. Hope you find the right contacts. It is a long process sometimes. I also found it really make a difference which cleaner I use too. I am way over due for an exam, but I am just to tired of going to doctors right now. I noticed that my tiredness comes and goes in cycles too. I am in a tired one now...probably the change in weather has to do with it. A day off once a week sounds like a solution.

I feel the same way, SHAR, after having such a good day with healthy eating and exercise. I hope it is just the thing we need to keep going. Hope you find an alternative exercise to do today with the bad weather.

Well...that is it for now. TTYL

Grace, your workout schedule is enough to make anyone tired! I give you a lot of credit for being able to do so much.

Thank you Rhonda, but truthfully, I don't do much of anything else. I won't even be doing any housework today or cooking. I really am quite lazy...LOL!
