At the risk of colliding with someone else at this late hour, I thought I'd get a wrap-up going.

What a day! What a day! I've read almost no posts and it's after 2:00 AM. Left the house this morning for my eye dr. appt. and noticed a lot of smoke in the air and the smell of wood burning. I really thought it was a neighbor burning leaves and twigs and stuff, but noticed I kept seeing and smelling it everywhere I went. Turns out the whole city is covered in smoke from the wildfires up in Georgia!!! I had my headlights on driving around today. I had noticed it some yesterday too. We got a few sprinkles this afternoon, so it wasn't quite as bad tonight.

The contact I was trying out hasn't really worked well, so he's ordering a type I used to wear many years ago. My reading glasses had come in and they are pretty cool, as reading glasses go. http://www.lacoste.com/usa/main.html They are the aqua ones and look better when you see the ear pieces open.

On a whim, I got some new Maui Jim sunglasses. IMO, they are absolutely the best! I've seen jazzier and pricier frames, but other lenses just can't compare. I've had my other pair about 10 years, and they somehow got a scratch right in my field of vision in my right eye, and I'm the type that just can't see past it. It seems HUGE! Tim said that kind of thing doesn't bother him, so maybe he will use them, since they're unisex. The new ones have the wildest flexible titanium frames and are almost weightless. Mine have copper frames (what little there are and bronze lenses). Wish they were pictured that way. Very different from the brownish plastic

You always make me dizzy with all you can accomplish in one day.

Thanks, Phyllis! I try to help. It was well worth the wait to get to meet and spend time with you. I enjoyed it so much. I hope we get to see each other again soon.

Are those fires in GA close to your in-laws at all? We're getting lots of smoke and smell of it down here even. Here's an aerial shot of part of downtown yesterday, but you can't see it very well. The bit of stepped roof at the edge of the page, to the bottom left of the blue bridge and near the river

Rhonda first off I am thinking of your dad and sending extra thoughts and prayers his way. The man has been through a lot and you have been there by his side nonstop, your a good daughter. You were one busy cookie too yesterday and still going strong at 2 am..........how do you do it?

Yesterday at work was busy but not crazy. Unfortunatly the deal I had worked on so hard these last few weeks is not going down today and it was upsetting. It was rescheduled for Monday, April 30th so there is still hope. I was happy with my eating yesterday, stayed on Core except for 2 points I needed to dip into (I need to add them to my journal post below). Our weather was horrible again, yesterday and I think its begining to take a toll on everyone around here. However once in the door my butt had its comfy sweats and messy t-shirt on.

Are you going to try Mystic Tan?

I'm sure I'll at least try it. It takes 2 minutes and no appt. is necessary. It's different from the type of booth tan Erin tried. Hers was runnier liquid that you had to rub in when you were finished. Mystic is such a fine mist that it's in place once it's sprayed and is virtually dry within seconds.
