This will have to be quick, since I'm running late to the nursing home. I don't want Dad to stress.
J-Deb, I wanted to see In the Land of Women (or something like that) and we were on our way when we got sidetracked buying the Explorer. I was OK with that.
Tim should be back in town mid-afternoon. He said he'd go to the baseball game with me downtown tonight, so I can see "Avalon" perform afterwards. We'll probably wait until some of the last innings to go.
Mailed two birthday cards to my sister, Lisa. Her birthday is the 30th. I send her a regular one and then always have to send the traditional pug card, because she has 2 pugs. It became a habit to pick up pug cards wherever I see them. She has a gallery for them.
I have a ton of things I need to do, but who knows if I'll get a round to them. Hope every enjoys Friday and has something wonderful planned for the weekend, even if it's just
I am enjoying a lovely day off from work... Work continues to be challenging to go too.. Thankfully I don't have a whole lot of days, just long ones.. So today I have been puttering around the house.. The house is looking pretty good, dusting and staightened... It's 72 degrees sunny and just wonderful.. I think I am going to repot a patio plant and clean up some gardens.
It's now after 5PM here on the East Coast so I've not fallen into the Atlantic or Long Island Sound!
Very glad that it's after 5 and Friday. The bosses had a lunch for the secretarial staff today as a late Secretary Day thank you. I really dislike staying in the office all day but the food was good. There was even a cake to celebrate my 14th anniversary-I probably should write a book on how I've managed to survive 14 years (especially the last 5). Work was busy but not crazy so that helped pass the day. Don't like those dragging Fridays.
I'm ready to put on pjs but DH and I are going to the wake and pay respects to DD's BF and his family on the passing of his grandma. So putting on the pjs will have to wait.
I now know why I gave up regular coffee. I had just a little bit this afternoon and I'm a bit wired and palpitations galloping away. No more of the regular coffee for me. Since I've been waking up every morning at 3:23AM wonder what the time will be tomorrow morning!
That's about it from this East Coast girl. Think I'll flip on the TV for a bit before DH arrives home with something to eat.
I am confused, too, Deb.
