Your egg cooker has my curiousity going....sounds like a good little appliance to have.

You amaze me how you can be doing so many things so soon after your surgery.

Geez, what a workout! Good for you! That bread sounds heavenly. I am so bad about bread now that I am salivating. Just walking the stairs in a 3-story house should be great exercise. Have you lost lbs. or inches from that?

I sure remember the feeling of not being able to vacuum. At first I thought it would be neat that I wouldn't be able to do that stuff for a while, but when things started getting grubby, it wasn't good anymore. He made me wait 3 months due to the 3 surgeries. I think I drove after 2 weeks. Glad you're recovering well. It's hard not to overdo it, but try. ;-)

Hugs,

Left the house today to find ashes on my car and a few falling in the sky. I think those must be from fires to the south of us that are closer than the ones in GA. I was really PO'd they were on my car, but then I got things in perspective. We're a lot luckier than the people north and south of us -- knock on wood. It was 94 this afternoon and with the smoke in the air, it seemed that hot. Tonight the sky is clearer and the full moon is so pretty.

I had a good day. Went to see Dad and had lunch with him. He's still depressed about having to be there and refers to it as being in jail or prison and says we might as well put him in a dump pile. I feel so bad for him. He's just not well enough to go home unless they had live-in help. Even then, most of their house is not handicap accessible for a wheelchair. They're really working him in PT, which he complains about, but I remind him the goal is to help him get strong enough that he doesn't have to be there. Mom got there after lunch, and I left a little before 2.

I was glad I hadn't eaten lunch, because Tim called and asked if I wanted to meet him for lunch. We met at the good new place near us called Sweet Indulgences. He always has to work late the last day of the month doing accounting, so it was nice to get to spend a little time during the day. He'd been to the nursing home early this morning to give Dad the cash for his car from finalizing the sale.

I made a stop by the ATM, the grocery store, and Walgreen's. Got a few, very few, things done around here, then went to the extra Zumba class at 7:15. She'd gotten some "goodies", so I got a fitted pink T and a fitted black T. I already have brown, so I should have enough to wear them to all classes, if I want. We had a large group, and this location doesn't have ceiling fans. I could really feel the difference. They did have a new stereo system that sounds good, but is not loud enough. I think they're planning to do something to boost it.

I made a reservation for Tim and me at a neat place in Orlando. It is really nice and having some great rates compared to most of the places at this time of the year. It will seem more like a vacation. We're going to get a computer for Erin and Joe and surprise them with it. He'll set it and the web cam up while we're down there. It can be their early Mother's Day and Father's Day presents. Normally, I wouldn't give gifts to them since they're the kids, but since it's the first for them, I want to. I wouldn't spend this much for the gifts either, but they need a computer and it's an excuse to get them one. We're going to take dinner to their house, because it's kind of hard to take the baby out on a week night. We're both really looking forward to it. I think he's going to try to get away by 11:00, but I'll believe it when I see it. I hope he'll be home any minute. He called and said he was leaving soon.

Didn't talk to my sister today, but I did send her a birthday email, and she should have gotten my cards. I'm eager to hear about her weekend trip to Phoenix.

Nancy, great job on your workout!

Better go dry my hair and get settled in for the night. Rob wants the computer again.
