Good Morning!

Thankfully, I'm a regular attender at this board or I really would have been sent running after reading about the winky(ies)!

Reality check in my mirror this morning (didn't have to go thru the unspeakable horror of going to the mall mirror).

Morning all! To affect our quality of life is definitely one of the most important things we can do, because it sets the tone for just about everything else. I've been struggling with my moods/feelings too and was doing a lot better right after I read The Secret. Think it's time for the refresher course. I am shaking things up and making changes that seem to be having positive results, so I feel good that I'm making progress, even if it's erratic.

Tim hopes to get off work at 11 AM

Nice message Patty. You brighten so many moods and minds each day with your morning posts. But onto me.........in a mood here and it s*cks big time. No time for anything yet I have to do so much. I need to let go and I do not know how. I need a therapy session............ I was up at 6:30, quick let the dog out and turned to washer on to fill. That soaked and twirled while Bill showered. While that was going gave Katie a poke or two, made my bed and folded the batch in the dryer from the night before. Did the switch when Bill was done and before Rob jumped in the shower, fed the dog and made Katie's lunch. Rob is now gone (back to regular classes with a warning to not screw up or else) and Billy is almost ready to leave. The wonderful sound of my washer is going yet again and I am finishing my morning tea with my scrambled egg whites & sauteed mushrooms. I have WW tonight and I know I cheated alot this weekend again.........................and I do not want to go. I think Aunt Flo is around the corner which might be playing a part of my mood swings and I worry about getting on the scale when she is ready to pounce but I have not been there for 2 weeks. Part of me wants to call in sick today and play hookey but I know that is so not right or fair. So the good deb will head into the shower and get ready for work. I need to get my nails done and I think I will stop on my way home. I am supposed to work until 3 but if its slow I might just cut at 2:00 like last Tuesday. I am thinking about doing that on Thursday too for the month or so then when Katie is done with school cut it back to 1:00 those two days a week. Well our sun shine is coming through the windows and it feels good but I am not sure what the temp is outside. I am hoping it warms like yesterday which was a picture perfect afternoon around here. Better get my fat butt out of this chair and head inside. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Rhonda enjoy your trip and visit! Jdeb where are you off to now? Did your MIL buy a new car? Speaking of cars my youngest sister who lives in CT bought herself a new Honda CRV yesterday. Her old Saturn was really shot and with her being up in CT and her husband on the road all the time she needed something new. She was very happy and excited........new cars are fun!

Good Morning,

I've been trying to catch up on posts but having internet issues this morning so I figured I would try to get this in while the computer is still cooperating. I really hope I haven't set a tone for the day for myself this morning...I did manage to get myself to the basement this morning for a walk on the treadmill...there's just some mornings that there is just nothing inspirational about being down there at 5AM. I overflowed the coffee pot AGAIN this morning and my computer issues. So going to fight the mental struggle at the moment and assure myself that the rest of the day will be much better.

I must admit I've become addicted to DWTS over the past few weeks although I didn't get to see the whole thing last night. I have to say I'm an Apollo fan.

Work has been terribly slow and the days are dragging by. It's May 1st which means the billing has be get done and out the door so that may make the day pass by at a better pace.

Karen-I know you're anxious to get back into the swing of things but please don't overdo!

Nancy and D-Deb some really great workouts going on for you ladies!

Sassy-always good to see you!

Rhonda-hope you have a great trip to Orlando and don't you be spoiling that grandbaby :)!

Shastar-a belated welcome to you!

Time to get moving. I have laundry sitting in baskets and probably about time I put it away.

Hope everyone has a terrific Tuesday!

Don't you think Apollo and his partner are such a cute couple? He says they're like brother and sister though.

A day of doing things for you to recharge your batteries is not a waste. Good for you for having some you time!

I think you'll be glad you made the call to your former teacher. Parting on bad terms with no closure makes for a lot of negative energy. It was big of you to make the first move. Bet she's relieved. Let us know how it turns out.

As for the pots, I think I'd leave them dirty until he washed them and just make something else for myself.

Yes, Apollo and his partner are cute together. I'm sure they were partnered on purpose. All I can say is, "Poor, Billy Ray." I think Joey is great, but I really hope Leila Ali wins because the female's part seems so much harder, and she's awesome.

Anyway, y'all have so much going on, it makes me tired thinking about it. I understand the mood associated with weather. I live near Houston and we had a terribly dreary winter. It's not that we had so many freezing days, but so many rainey, cloudy, yucky days. I feel really depressed on those kind of days, but feel so much better on the occasional sunny day. I can get so much more accomplished on those days. I'm so ready for our humid hot summer. I'd never survive in a northern state. lol

I took a walk around my neighborhood this morning. I need to make myself get back into the habit. Once the weather turned yucky, I stopped and it's hard to get started back. I took a pilates class for a few weeks last fall, but never got started back after Christmas. I bought 2 pilates DVDs and one came with a stretchy band thing (I'm sure it has a name), but I haven't motivated myself to do them yet. Maybe reading your posts will the the inspiration I need. I just got back from getting my alergy shot. I have my to-do list and hopefully can get it finished. MRI this evening. (One's at 6:00 and one's at 7:00pm. Odd time to be scheduled, but hey, the lady from registration said I get free valet parking since it's so late. Yeh for late appointments.) I really don't know what to tell my kids. I don't want them to worry, but they're 13 and 15, so they know somethings up. Hopefully nothing new is found and it's just still endometriosis. Next, what to do about it?

Have a good trip.
To those working, have a good day at work.
To those going to WW, good luck with the weigh in. I did WW several years ago, but I found myself cheating too much, so I quit. I don't do well with diets. I become obsessed with "not" being able to eat certain things and I find every excuse in the book to make an exception.
To anyone not covered in the above....have a good day, also.

Pam

ps. There's nothing quite like waking up with a cat, that is shedding, sleeping next to you, and having cat hair in your mouth.
