Rhonda got the announcement for Rob's graduaation. Are you planning a party? Are we all really invited? Wouldn't you be surprised if we showed up on your door step? Congrats to your Rob. I really like them, although the guys do not want to hear the word pretty, they are! I thought I would share you our graduation announcement.........it's going to go something like this.........

Dear _________,

Please be on notice that Rob is hoping to graduate in June should he get his act together and pull this off without killing his parents. Should our son graduate (we will know when he finishes

Not Rhonda, either, but that gave me a great laugh, Deb!

Believe it or not, until a couple of weeks ago, that could have been our Rob's graduation announcement too!! Scary! He wound up pulling off a C in English. Not the best, but a real relief, frankly. His teacher is quite hard and is moving to teach at the University of North Florida next year.

We're not doing a party, but the family will go out to lunch/early dinner at a restaurant of his choice afterwards. I didn't really expect you guys to travel here for the ceremony, especially since it's on a Monday, but it's a big day in our lives, and I wanted to share the news with people who are important to us -- and that includes you guys! :-)

I would like nothing better to embarrass him with all of you guys there! What a party that would be (for us). LOL! Thanks for the good wishes. Time goes way too fast. Even Jackson is looking like a toddler, and it's way too soon for that!

My Rob pulled an "F" the 1st quater, a "C" the 2nd quater and a "D" the 3rd quater................so now we need to balance out that "F". Man if he does not graduate and has to go to summer school because of this there will be no living with this mother!

No need to tell me about holding your breath to see if graduation is going to happen or not.I contribute so much to the 2 resource room teachers he had who pushed him and helped him and helped me fight some battles with the school that I never could have done on my own. I sent a note to the one he had his senior year and thanked her for helping him graduate. Believe it or not he actually had to go back to school the Monday after graduation to take one more final. Definitely breathed a big sigh of relief after he being assured that he passed and in fact there wouldn't be a need for summer school!

Rhonda-it was a really nice announcement! We're the Mustangs too! The expression on Rob's face I'm sure would be priceless if we all showed up! Seems like yesterday when you were talking about Rob going into HS. But then again it frightens me that DD has been teaching for almost 7 years and DD graduated from college 4 years ago and DS 4 years from HS-where does the time go?

We told Rob if he didn't walk with his class we'd sell his beloved truck, and we meant it. He's managed straight C's in English with this hard teacher, but at one point his average was an F last nine weeks. It's the only credit he needs to graduate.

Best of luck with your Rob. I know how stressful it is.

How cool that we are both Mustangs! Before you know it our kids will be older than we are. My niece already is. ;-)

You know what frustrates Bill and I so much that up until his senior year his average was a "B". Who could ask for more, right? Well he started driving and was a senior and well it went down hill quick. After his first quarter he swore he would change things. Unfortunately he did not show a lot of improvement. I had been riding him about his physics class and his math but he does not require them for graduation or credits. Those were optional classes he took to fill in space but in NY they require 4 years of English, 4 years of SS, and 4 years of gym. Had he not failed English in the first quarter I might not be so nervous. Plus his attitude about school has changed...............I think I will bury him with the others if you all don't mind or is that reserved for just husbands? After last week with the parking trouble and getting his 4 days of suspension we told him one more thing and his truck is history too. Actually those words came from Bill this time so that shook Rob. Now if he does not pass English and summer school is required he will also miss the big trip to Tennessee and Virginia for his last year of racing. Bill told him he will park the car and put it up for sale immediately. I just hate that these kids push us into these decisions. Even though I told him to talk to his teacher today just to check up on things I should email her and/or give her a call. I so can not wait for this to be done............oh wait, I still have 5 more years to go through with Katie. What the h*ll was I thinking?
