Well for me its almost time to head upstairs. Where did the day go? It seems to fly by for me how about you ladies? What did you do today? How was your weather? How had company and who were the company? Was it a full day or a lazy day? Are you ready for bed or are you pulling an all nighter like Rhonda? Rhonda I look at the hour of some of your post and think.... does this woman ever sleep?

A no pressure kind of day here, man I enjoy when the boys go racing, lol. Actually Bill left last night and the boys left around noon today. This morning I slept in until 9:00 then did some light house cleaning. Actually I made my bed, emptied the dishwasher and did 4 loads of laundry. I also ironed some clothes and will probley finish the rest tomorrow. My FIL took Katie out east to see and ride Daniel today so while she was gone I enjoyed a long hot shower.........some magazine time out on the front porch. When she got home we took a ride to the store where I bought new ear phones since the ones that came with my ipod do not stay in my ears. We also bought Katie a new game for her Nitendo DS, which she still uses on occasion. Katie and I then stopped at the nursery and bought 2 flats of pansies. I got purple........light purple, deep purple, mixed purple......what can I say I was living on the edge. I planted half of them then decided to come in and watch the Kentucky Derby. Great race! Katie and I washed up and picked up my FIL and we went out for a fish dinner. YUMMY! I had shrimp & scallops in vodka sauce over pasta. My tummy is not used to eatting like that and well I brought home half. Ran to the pharmacy on our way home since Katie has that annoying tickle/cough from the seasonal allergies. Bought some Dimetapp and gave her a dose when we walked in the door. She had me buy a magazing for her called J-14 (?) its like our Tiger Beat magazine from way back. You all remember those magazines, right? Well time to head upstairs and watch some HGTV for an hour then lights out. Katie and I are planning on seeing the horse again for another ride and I think I might hop on for a cool down. Hope everyone had a great day today!

I thought I had some mysterious illness from the ship - no symptoms other than total sleepiness.

Wish the work week days would fly by as fast as the weekends!

I was going to put my nose to the grindstone around here but DD who usually isn't around on the weekends decided we should go shopping....hmmmmm....housework vs shopping-OK shopping won out. I was basically going along for the ride but DD treated me to a new wrap dress. I wasn't quite sure whether I liked it on me but DD and another woman in the dressing room assured me that it looked nice. That's why I can't go shopping by myself! There was a cami to go underneath and also a pretty blue pleated blouse with blue pearl buttons and a low waisted flounce on the bottom. A pair of low wedge sandals to go with the dress. That was my Mother's Day treat. We actually ended up making a second trip back since DD had forgotten her coupon and then I found a cute pair of peep toe flats-almost like a straw woven material with a bronze colored edging around the peep toe and around the top of the shoe. Very cute! We also made a stop to Trader Joes and picked up a few things there.

Needless to stay I didn't accomplish what I had originally set out to do for the day-but sure had a lot more fun!

We did get the grill up and running last night. I had three different things in mind for dinner but I had the last of our Omaha Steak burgers in the freezer. Those were so good on the grill!

I had a good day. Tim worked, while I went to the extra Zumba class at 9:30 AM. I had gone to several party stores and found some miniature maracas for Cinco de Mayo. I bought 14, which wasn't enough for even half the class, but it would have been too expensive to buy them for everyone. I was so pleased that the speech therapist from LCCJ came and brought 6 friends and cousins who were in town for the weekend. They had a ball and are now converts. I think she will be my guest at the Y this Thursday night. It's a much better spot for size, temperature, and sound.

Not long after I got home, Tim got home too. I did a few things around here, then we took a quick nap, despite the phone ringing. I got up first to start getting ready to go to Lisa's for her belated birthday. Dad called to see what time we were picking up. He was really looking forward to it. Rob and Tim got ready and Rob followed us in his truck. I'd brought out some scalding hot tea, which when Tim asked me to open the window, spilled down the tender spot between my thumb and fingeres, on my left leg of my bermudas, and in my new car. I was not happy. Ran into the house and got magnets on both sides of that skin on my hand and taped them there. The burning stopped immediately. I wore them until I got home and there is no blistering, no redness, no soreness, or anything. I've never seen anything work on burns the way they do.

Got to the LCCJ at and Rob had Dad out front waiting in his wheelchair. I went in to sign him out and get a few other things. He was already in the car when I came out. He talked about new apt. construction and road construction on the way. They helped him out of the car at Lisa's, and he used his walker instead of the wheelchair. I have to say Tim REALLY worked to help lift and support him. It's as though Dad's legs don't straighten now. His knees always look slightly bent. We decided to leave the wheelchair, which is so uncomfortable, in the car. He sat in an easy chair, which is much more "normal" too.

We watched the Kentucky Derby, which was a real thriller. I was so happy to see that jockey win. Mom and Dad have always been big horse race fans. We had pulled pork bar-b-que dinners, which had so much food that I had to bring some of mine home. Later, we had some delicious birthday cake.

About 7:00 o'clock, we started getting Dad back into the SUV and headed back to the LCCJ. He was sad to have to go back, but in a way I think he was relieved. He didn't think he did well at all yesterday with his walking, but he did so much better than he would have been able to a month ago. I tried to convince him of that. Got him squared away in his room and he thanked me profusely for all we'd done for him that day. I'd like to get him out more often.

Tim and I finally went to see "In the Land of Women" and both of us really enjoyed it. I'd never seen the young guy in it before, but he was quite likeable and perfect for the part.

Rob brought his new girl friend over to meet us. She's very cute and petite and seems like a nice girl. He got his yearbook, so I got to look at that. They sure are big now, but a lot of the group pictures are very small. I liked the way we covered clubs and sports better back when I was in school.

That was our day. I didn't eat well, but I did get in some exercise.
