Good evening everyone, just heading upstairs for the night and thought I would check in one last time. Had a good day here too. Katie, Meg and myself headed out to see the horse. Katie and Meg gave him a good ride, about 20 minutes each and they had him jumping and cantoring this afternoon. I am sure Daniel was glad to be back in turn-out when the girls were through, lol. From there we headed home and got back around 3:30. I watered my flowers but did not plant the rest of them. I hope to do that on Tuesday. I spoke to Bill and he informed me that our friend John was doing well this afternoon at the track and the boys were all having fun. Katie and I enjoyed our left over pasta for dinner and some grilled chicken. We watched the movie The Man in the Iron Mask with Leonardo DiCaprio, had to explain it to Katie but it was fun. I am a swashbuckler fan! We then watched the Home Improvement show on ABC and she is sound asleep upstairs. I finished cleaning up, washed the remainder of our dishes, let the dog out and in and closed down the house. Not sure what time the boys will get in but I am sure they will be exhausted when they do arrive home. Getting up tomorrow should be interesting. I hurt my lower back today and it's soar now. I just took a few Motrin so I hope that helps. This might make you laugh........our cat Tiger. What a trouble maker, well I broke Katie's 14Kt diamond and sapphire cross tonight. I was attempting to remove the hair stuck around the chain and I cut the chain in half. Now I need to buy her a new chain. Well I put the cross and chain on the counter.....where is Tiger a few minutes ago? On the counter playing with the jewlery.

What kind of lilies do you want to plant? I have a bunch of alstroemerias, which are a member of the lily family, and some stargazer lilies. I also have some yellow ones that my friend gave me. They're just some type of day lily.

Rhonda:

My first choice is the Stella de Oro

Picture of "Stella de Oro" daylily.

But any low growing, not too invasive lily will do.

There's a guy just SW of us in a little town called Green Cove Springs who's spent decades creating hybrid lilies. He has some gorgeous ones. If it hasn't already taken place, there's a lily show coming up here soon.

I have some stargazer lilies, but they must not be planted in enough sun, because they haven't come back up. I don't know the name of the other lilies I have, because a friend gave them to me, but they are yellow and have buds on them. I should probaby separate them at the end of their blooming to get more plants for next year. Below is a picture of a Stargazer. I could see Shar doing a painting of this!
