It's here-TGIF! The end of a very long work week for me. Is everyone set to enjoy the weekend? Special plans for the weekend? Digging in the dirt, shopping, catching up from the week? What's the plan?

Good Morning,

Yes, TGIF! As already expressed it's been a very long work week. The office has been so very quiet and we don't exactly know why. It's not that the case load is any different it just seems to be abnormally quiet as far as our jobs are concerned. I shouldn't say that too loud because it's always the calm before the storm.

It started out as a very gray day here yesterday and by afternoon it was beautiful. The evening walk with Otto was wonderful. For whatever reason Otto was in a let's move it pace and it was a good change from the usual let's stop and sniff every blade of grass and then smell it again! So far this morning, we've had thunder and some heavy rain and a few moments ago it looked like the sun was trying to come out. Not exactly sure what the weather is supposed to do.

It will be a busy weekend around here. Not much time to play catch up around here. DD and her BF are headed down for the weekend. We have our grandnephew's communion tomorrow and then DH apparently told this coworker that we would be attending her daughter's communion party tomorrow evening. I didn't actually think we were going to try to do both parties but apparently DH took it upon himself to say that we would be there. Older DD is trying to arrange something for Mother's Day while DD and BF are here. I think she's trying to put lunch together. I know they will probably head back to MA early afternoon so that her BF can spend some time with his mom and grandma for Mother's Day.

I don't even remember turning off the alarm this morning. I was in such a deep sleep this morning and if it wasn't for Otto whining for breakfast I'm not sure what time I would have gotten myself out of bed. There was definitely no time for a workout but I've had 6 straight days of some form of exercise so there's no guilt of staying in bed this morning. I was sleeping so soundly that I did wake up very groggy and wasn't quite sure what day or time of day is was.

It's that time of the morning where I need to put my supplies gathered for the work day ahead. I'm going to head to the nail salon after work and have my nails done and then home to the homefront for the weekend.

Hope everyone is feeling well and ready to enjoy a fantastic Friday!

With computer glitches, it's been hard to read or post.

Yesterday, I had my Republican Women's Club meeting. We had a candidate's forum, which was very interesting. The food was good, especially the bread pudding, one of my weaknesses. I got some more signs for waving.

I was going to go to the nursing home to visit Dad, but got a disturbing call from the mother of Rob's best friend that he hadn't been to school the last 2 days and had missed his English final!!! She had mixed feelings about telling me, but said she'd want to know, and of course, I did too. I was so keyed up that I called him 3X even knowing he was in class. Sometimes he can answer, depending on the class he's in. Called Tim in Chicago to tell him about it. I probably shouldn't have, since he was getting ready to go into an important meeting, but all I could think of was that Rob might not graduate!

Got a call back from Tim that he'd gotten in touch with Rob, and he was taking his English final right then. I decided to ride around the area where he said his girl friend lives to make sure he was really in school. I don't know if I even passed her house. When I didn't see his truck, I drove directly to the school and parked next to his truck to wait for 20 minutes till school was out. I was relieved to see it there.

He was very puzzled when he saw me sitting there. I asked him about the last 2 days and he admitted he hadn't gone to school. He was really tired from the weekend, so instead of skipping the last two days, he decided to skip those 2. I read him the riot act about skipping without permission and risking not being able to make up his exam, even though he said he knew yesterday was make-up day. I told him he was grounded and to take the truck home after he dropped his friend off.

We discussed it more at home, so I gave him the option of being grounded this weekend (Today is his girl friend's birthday and is the last day of school for seniors) or he could do "community service" to work it off. He HATES to wave political signs, but I told him he could wave them Monday evening, Tuesday morning, and Tuesday evening with me for a total of 4 1/2 hours. That's a lot less than the 2 days missed. He started moaning and complaining, and I cut him off. Told him those were his only 2 options -- take his pick. He will be waving signs with me! LOL!

Ended up waving with my candidate for 1 1/2 hours after I voted at an early voting site. It was SO incredibly windy that it was hard to hold the signs up. My arms, neck, and shoulders felt it. From there, I went to Zumba and had a good workout.

Tim got home about 11:30 last night. His Chicago meeting went very well too, thankfully. He was tired this AM though. I was going to attempt to go to Zumba this AM, but it would complicate things too much. I have to be at the nursing home with Dad for lunch while Mom gets her hair done, and I needed to pack for Orlando. If I'd done Zumba, I'd have had to come back home to shower and wash my hair and get totally redressed. As much as I hated to miss it, it was just too much.

Erin called this morning to see what time I'll be there. It'll probably be between 3 and 4, since I need to stay through lunch with Dad. She's got

I know the week is really only 7 days long, but it feels like I got all 7 of them in the last 4 days.
