Hi - I'm looking for a place to help me stay focused. I've put on about 20 pounds since getting married six years ago, and I'd really like to lose some of that and generally get into shape. Journalling what I eat and what I'm feeling is probably best, but where is a good place for that?

Hi Zar and welcome to the board! This board is a great source of support. I will agree with everyone else that journaling what you eat is a great idea. I get a bit lazy about doing it-but when I know I have to put it down on paper it makes me more conscious of what's entering my mouth. We're a great group and hope that you stick around!

I'll take some time to look around this board and do my best to start logging what I eat. My life is a bit topsy turvy at the moment, so I know I need to pay attention in order to stay healthy.
My exercise is spotty. Some mornings I walk for about 30 minutes while my daughter has skating practice. Some mornings I do yoga. That's about it. But my 15 year old has challenged me to run a marathon with her next April, and that's no easy challenge for a 42 year old who doesn't like to sweat or run!
