The sun is getting ready to set here on the East Coast and just wondering how everyone's day has been. Please share....

It's been a beautiful day here on Long Island. Sun shining, warm weather although there's been a pretty hefty wind blowing which I think allergy sufferers are pretty miserable with everything flying through the air.

Another quiet day at work. Not only work wise but our little ray of Sunshine was out again today. It's amazing how quiet the office is with only those of us who use our "indoor voices" in attendance! Not sure what has gotten into the man at the other end of the office but another day when I was told to go home at 4:30. It's so nice to have that 1/2 hour before having to think about getting dinner started.

Dinner was turkey burgers on the bbq. DD and I both had a craving for mac & cheese. I put together one in the crockpot and tried to make a bit healthier by using skim milk, reducing the amount of cheese and using a reduced fat cheese. Healthier version or not it sure was good!

Otto and I ventured out for our after dinner walk and it sure was nice. After that DH and I walked back down to the school to vote on the school budget. I did manage to get my laundry finished up but that was about it for the evening projects. I always have a lot more energy and ambitious ideas before work.

Hope you've all enjoyed a good day and are spending a relaxing evening! Pleasant dreams to one and all!

My day feels like it should be winding down and I should be heading to bed but I have a while still.

Susan, your post does sounds a little less on the stressful side. Don't you wish "her" boss would realize how different the office is without the sun? I guess I could wish you continue a few more days without her but I do not want to jinx a good thing. On the other hand our weather was nice, wasn't it? We actually had our windows open today and it felt great. We had a breeze blowing throug too. I was supposed to only work until 3:00 but for some reason I got hit hard with "stuff" so I did not get out until 4:30. I have a feeling tomorrow will bring more challenges and more business. Which is a good thing since the real estate market has slowed a lot. Our office does 98% of real estate. I got home with just enough time to change into my sweat pants and put my ipod clipped into my pocket. I walked to the WW meeting, only a 10 minute walk one way. But it was better then nothing. Lets just say after jumping (you know I did not jump) onto the scale I was not happy but I knew going into this I was going to see those big numbers so..............after I got home, I ran (well I took the car) upstreet to the grocery store and stocked up on some salad stuff, fresh veggies and fresh fruits. I also bought some low calorie snacks for those sweet tooth cravings. Came home and made some raviolis for Katie and I. Boys are off doing race stuff and although I did think of going back out and walking I am exhausted. So now that dinner is cleaned up I plan on a cup of green tea and some TV. Both DWTS and American Idol are on tonight. Its a good TV night. If I can get to bed before 10:00 I just might be able to walk in the morning....................maybe (!). That is it for me. I hope everyone had a lovely day.

Patty it does not sound like your boss or your new coworker are being fair. You do need to stand up for your rights and what works for you. I know first hand because if they take advantage they will. Good luck in voicing your concerns and stay strong. Its not going to be easy and by all means do not and I mean do not feel guilty..........that is exactly what they are playing.

So sorry to hear your friend lost the election. I know how disappointing that can be. Also, know about poor turnout. We had an abysmal 9% turnout for this election. People in the Middle East risk their lives for the right, and people here can't be bothered. Most who do don't even really know about the candidates qualifications and often vote for the ones with the most signs out.

I loved that burrito place in Asheville and have thought of it a number of times. I'm on a lime kick, so the lime cilantro dressing sounded great.
