Sorry I haven't been very good at posting. I have to keep myself away from the comp most mornings, or I'll spend a few hours on it. I hope you have all been doing okay.
Well, I had a dr visit today. It wasn't planned, but when the nurse got my MRI results she called and said the dr needed to see me today. She made it sound urgent, so I was really nervous. My dr said she needs to remove my right ovary because of the mass. The radiologist of my first MRI in March thinks it's endometriosis. I didn't necessarily get that same feeling from the radiologist where I got the second MRI. He did mention debris, though. I asked my dr if she could save the ovary if it's endo. She said if it is endo, she'd clean off what she could and save what's left of the ovary. She said she'd be conservative and only remove what is necessary. I asked her what it could be if it's not endo and she told me the name of a tumor. Started with the letter E but I don't remember what. She said that if it's not endo, they'll remove the whole thing and send it to pathology. There will be a gyn-oncologist on hand. She said if it is a tumor that it's relatively small. There's no fluid in my abdomen, and she said there's no blood flow to the mass on the ovary. My left ovary has some cysts, but apparently they're nothing to worry about.
Monday morning I go to the pre-op with my dr and the anesthiologist (sp?). The surgery is scheduled for Friday morning, May 25. I'm ready to get it over with.
On a happier note. I've started building my compost bin. I finally got the grass pulled up. What a chore!!!! I hammered in the 4 dowstick spears ds made me. Next I need to hook the chicken wire to the dow sticks. Dh is so aggrevated with me because I've been collecting a lot of stuff in the fridge: egg shells, lettuce, bell pepper, tea bags, and other scraps. I started collecting last week so I'd have enough stuff to get the compost started.
Y'all have a great rest of the week!!!!
