Good morning everyone! I hit purple for my color and wondered where the heck is Sassy lately? Actually the board has been pretty quiet lately. How can I have an interesting life if those I live vicariously thru don't

Good Morning Everyone!
I take one day of rest from exercise each week.

Good Morning,
Another beautiful looking morning outside and rather warm temperatures although that is supposed to change by this evening.
We should have another grandniece or nephew by noon today and DD will be a godmommy! I figure the godmother will be off to the baby store right after work! The new baby will be sharing a birthday with younger DD's BF. Saying a prayer that all goes well for mom and baby. We're less than 5 minutes from the hospital so after dinner DD and I may go pay a quick visit to the hospital.
Up bright and early and down to the basement for the toning section of the DVD. I like the toning sections but do think when I have extra time that I need to incorporate something else with it. After a glimpse at the scale this morning I do think there needs to be less cake and more exercise!
Patty-feel no guilt about not covering for your coworker. You had already said you couldn't cover for her. It's one thing in an emergency it's quite another when she's deciding when she's going to work. What is it with coworkers, especially new ones that ask for time off and expect everyone else to cover for them and bosses that don't have a problem with that.
Nothing much else going on around here. It's just the usual clean up around the house and then off to the working world. We're having an in office birthday luncheon for the boss at the other end. Lunches in the office seem to really make the day drag. I look forward to that one hour outside of there but can't do much about this one.
That's about it from my world. Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

She was a no show yesterday. Have to say it's so quiet without her but she'll be on a roll when she gets back about how stressed and busy she is. I still haven't quite figured out what she does all day besides personal phone calls, cell phone calls and shopping on line! And we all manage to be the brunt of her tirades!
We don't know whether it's a boy or girl. She wanted to know and kept peeking at the sonogram but her husband didn't want to know. Secretly wishing for a little girl since she has 2 boys...

Good morning everyone..........new day, new start, new me? Well two out of three aint bad! It's a beautiful day here on Long Island but I heard we are supposed to get a little chilly tonight. But until then I will enjoy what we have. I have a full day today at the office (9 to 5) and I have an appointment with the Chiropractor. I blew off the appointment on Monday but figure I will go today. But I think its the last one needed. I am 99% better and although the heat and electric treatment feel good, the co-pay does not. I spent and extra $100 something last week between pills and doctors.......yuck! I have a feeling work is going to be busy and that is alright because it does make it fly just a little faster.
Patty your post yesterday about the co-worker really makes me laugh. You have heard my complaining about feeling taken advantage of many times. Like Margie said they seem to think if you say yes once you become the "go to" gal, and it's not fair. Just a quick story about our new gal.....see she was hired part time about 2 weeks after I started the new position. She sold herself and knowing a lot more then she really does/did. It has shown over the last several months/weeks. Well she was hired at the same salary he had just given me as a raise. Lets just say the new one can talk......I was mad at first but figured she has more experience, I saw her resume. But this girl just comes with so much baggage. She is only 27, has 3 children has never been married and all 3 kids have different fathers. She has asked our attorney for free advise so many times over the last two months it aint funny. Someone in her family always has some type of issue. Anyhow, she is supposed to work from 1:30 to 5:00 and yet he agreed to pay her for 4 hours a day. Because she works a morning job that gets out at 12:30 (she is only 20 minutes between jobs) This did not sit well with me especially since she never arrives before 1:45 and either comes starving and eats what ever we have in the office (like my popcorn or jello cups - although I do offer them to her because she repeats how hungry she is) or she brings in McDonalds, Wendy's..........and spends the first 20 minutes at her desk eatting. Then she never puts her cell phone down, it must ring 10 times in the 3 hours she is at the office, or she will be online checking her emails. I finally lost it last week and had to get it off my chest. That is why I had to go to the office meeting last Tuesday, bad back or not. She was not there by the way. Well the other 2 ladies agreed with everything I sai and I even told my boss that when

Good morning to everyone. After getting ds to school (Wednesday's are late days for high school) I'm going to make a to-do list. I've got so many things I want to get done before my surgery next Friday. I can't stand the thought of being bed riden for a few days with things not together. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a neat freak. Then I'm taking dd to my allergist. She's been with the same one for about 11 years. I like him, but I thought trying a different one might be good. Maybe getting allergy tested one more time, they'll find something and she can take allergy shots so she can get off the Advair. I think the 3 or 4 times she had pneumonia when she was younger must have affected her lungs. Living right on the Houston Ship Channel along side all the chemical plants doesn't help.
Okay, I'm back from taking ds to school and now I have to figure out what to do with my flat tire. There's road construction on the road we go on. I started hearing a clunking noise. At first I thought it was just from driving over dirt clods, but it continued. I had him stop the car. I got out but didn't see anything. A little further down, he stopped again. This time I found what looked like a small tree limb (a little bigger than a twig) on my front passenger tire. I thought it was just wedged in between my tire and frame. Nope, that would have been too easy. When I pulled it out, it was actually stuck in my tire, and I heard the hissing immediately, but it was too late to leave it in. It was not a tree limb, it was a piece of wire(I think called rebarb) cleaverly disguised as a tree limb.
Do I try to change the flat myself, do I take it to Discount Tire and let them fix it, or call dh? The allergy appt is in one and a half hours, so I have to go and figure out what to do.
Have a great day!
Pam
ps. Teenage driving...topic for another day. I need advise.
Wednesday Hello, everyone! The work week is almost half over for some of us. Can't believe how fast the days are going.
Patty, I think finding today's quote really, as well as your thoughts on it, came at the right time with the frustration you are feeling at work. Do not feel guilty for venting or saying you could not change your schedule. You have plenty of responsibilities to yourself, your family and of course the chickens. I am glad you said you could not change your schedule. HUGS!
My workout is kind of set in stone since I am scheduled to teach. I am teaching 2 classes tonight, kick boxing and body sculpting. I am being semi lazy today since I have to save some energy for tonight and I did teach 3 classes yesterday. My poor body!!
Pam...good luck with your surgery. I had my right ovary removed in December and it was a fairly easy surgery even though I ended up having my appendix out too along with the tumors on ovary and appendix. I will be thinking of you and try not to worry. You are lucky to get a surgery date so quickly! PS...sorry about the flat tire! Always something to put a wrench in the works when you are trying to accomplish things.
Margie...good for you for taking a day off from exercise and listening to your body and/or your aching hip. Glad to hear you are going to take time for you and pass up the retirement dinners. In the school district here, there is one retirement dinner for everyone retiring so it is done in one shot.
Susan...those office luncheon/parties can really be danger zones! Sorry you have to miss getting outside today. Hope you can sneak out some. Keep up the good work with the workouts!
cl-Deb...made it through your post...LOL! Hope you keep improving with your back and this will be your last chiro appointment.
Donna...I do remember that place in Asheville. It was just the right place to go to the day we arrived. Glad you enjoyed and great choice you made.
Nancy...enjoy your luncheon today and DH and all farmers will be in my thoughts.
Well...that is it for now. Want to finish up around here and plant the last of my flowers before I have to teach later.

Keep on keeping on!
