Good Morning,

Weird weather around here. One minute the sun is shining the next thing it's raining. It's quite windy here this morning as well and not very warm.

We had the graduation/birthday party for my GF's DD Friday night. She's graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology and is going to be designing fabric for wallpaper/carpet and upholstery for hotels. She's very excited that she got a job immediately and in her career field. I haven't seen my GF since January and I knew she had gone back to WW. She's lost 20+ lbs and looks wonderful and she says she feels so much better. The party was fun but very loud. We were sitting with a woman who's been friends with my GF since they were 8.

Saturday morning was a quick run to Costco and by the time I got home I had one of those head crushing headaches. I think all this up and down with the weather and all the stuff flying through the air contributes to these. Needless to say the day didn't get much productivity out of me. DD convinced me to go baby girl clothes shopping with her. I have to say all those little pink outfits just melt my heart. Lord & Taylor was having a great sale and DD had a coupon which she took full advantage of. I can't believe the stuff she bought Emma. I also helped stock the new wardrobe! DD and I went up the hospital while the baby was in the room and we both got to hold her. She is so alert and you really do forget how tiny they are!

I've made a note to myself that I should never do anything that requires any mental process coming from my brain while having one of these headaches. I had a little extra cash from some winning lottery tickets from Mother's Day so I went shopping on line with JC Penney. They had some really cute things on sale so I placed an order. Came down to check out my email and somehow I placed the order 2x. Fortunately customer service hopefully straightened that out before it got charged to my credit card. I've also somehow managed to lose DH's renewal for his registration for his truck. I have a sinking feeling it got tangled up with the newspapers and got thrown out. I'm hoping that if I do the renewal on line I won't need any of the information off the form. I also managed to mess up several checks I was writing for bills. I'm going to make sure before I seal the envelopes that the right check is in the right envelope.

I have a lot of ground to cover today to make up for yesterday's wipe out. My to do list is about a mile long and I've got to try to get at least 1/2 mile of it done. I love to play but guilt and reality quickly slap me in the face about the mess around here. As I've said before it doesn't seem to bother anyone else but me. But the clutter and general chaos drives me nuts.

A quick shower and then I have to get to the grocery store. Didn't get there last week so a definite necessity for today. I did schedule a pedicure last this morning and I'm not cancelling that. Then the afternoon will have to be devoted to getting things done around here.

Well better get moving if I'm to accomplish anything. Hope everyone is feeling well and enjoying their weekend!

Margie, I can soooo relate! DH was always used to calling all the shots in CL but once I started putting in more time things changed. We had such arguements as he adjusted to the change of me thinking for myself. It's gotten a lot better, thank goodness

I love peanut butter so I have to say that Peanut Butter Passion sounds pretty darn good to me.

I had every intention of posting last weekend but things didn't work out that way. We just had too much running around to do and I finally got a chance to try and get some more weeds (quack grass is horrible!) out of a small area of one of the gardens. Was sure I wouldn't be able to walk on Monday. I'm really going to be busy with that. On Monday I went in all ready to tackle the stuff I need to get done at work, that keeps getting postponed because the co-worker needs help with last minute stuff and she's supposed to have less work than I do, and anyway my desk was wet along with a bunch of my paperwork. Spent forever waiting for the dripping to stop so I could get things back where they were and use the computer. A pipe broke! Then more immediate things started coming in and the end of the week was getting nearer and I still wasn't getting to my project. Finally started it first thing Friday morning-felt so good! If anything else comes up someone else will have to handle it. Now I'm running out of time to get this project done. (Thanks for letting me vent.)
The weather here this weekend? Froze at the baseball game but at least it wasn't raining so we saw fireworks. Hooray!! I drank so much cappacino and coffee I don't know how I got to sleep. Still cloudy and cool today - think cloudy & damp is making it worse. Looks like a lot of rain possible in the forecast but we'll see. Only in the 60's this weekend and go back to work tomorrow and it will be the warmest day of the week - in 80's. Then going back down again to darn cold.
I had a fun meeting this past week (about dreams) and then went to the last walk scheduled for the community group which was 1.5 miles. Had a walk scheduled at work for the National Health and Fitness week and that was 2.5 miles. Watched a couple of season finales, weeded or did containers with whatever time was left over.
We did manage to move all my plants sitting just outside the garage out of the way and get the car into the garage before hail came pounding down Friday night. They said on the news we got pea-sized hail - they weren't talking to people on our side of town!!
I don't know what it is but Peanut Butter Passion sounds good. I guess I've missed too many messages!
That's about it for now. Hope everyone is going okay. I just saw something about walking along the beach and was wishing I was there! That's one thing I miss - when we lived on Long Island we use to go early (Spring) before things got crowded and walk along the beach and sit and just look out at the horizon and listen to the ocean.
This is a nice place to end. Don't know how long it will take me to get back on so - Everyone have a good evening and week!!!
