Have you frolicked your way through Friday or is the frolicking just beginning? How has your day been?

Frolicking began about 2:15. Boss man told us to go home a little after 2 which was a bit earlier than expected.

I had big plans to do this and that but ended up not doing much of anything which is of course a nice way to spend an afternoon. The house was quiet and there are just times when I really enjoy the solitude. I spent some time going through some cooking magazines and since I never can remember where I see a recipe that I would like to try I've been trying to get an index going so if I looking for a soup recipe I'll just go to that section. Takes some time but it's better than searching magazine by magazine.

DH arrived home with dinner and with my JC Penney order that was sitting out on the front porch. I tried everything on and love all the shirts and they all fit but the skirt was a dissapointment. One of those things that looked much better on the model in the picture than on me. I've been trying on some of summer clothes and although some fit a bit better than last year there are some things that still don't fit quite right. I think some of them are just the fact that maybe my porportions have changed a bit and maybe the store where I purchased them are perhaps the wrong porportion for me or could just be wishful thinking on my part! They're not terrible and since they don't look all that bad and I can't really afford to replace what I would like to replace I think I'll just wear them through the summer and perhaps as I see things on sale I'll replace them as the summer wears on. I was happy that one skirt I zipped up I could actually breathe in and the other one well I can get it zipped just have to work on that hook and eye at the top of the skirt. I guess that skirt will be my inspiration to whittle away at what needs to be whittled at!

It's been really warm here today and the house is really stuffy since the doors and most of the windows don't have the screens in them. DH says he's going to take care of that tomorrow morning. I'll be so glad when I can open all the windows. As much as I don't want to I think the main a/c will have to be unveiled as well. Just when you pay off the heating bills the cooling bills begin! Being in a cape the upstairs of our house is really uncomfortable and I think DS is going to have to find a sale on acs really soon since we had to get rid of his last year. I'm sure he's going to come in from work and tell us it's hot as h*** up there and unfortunately I can't disagree with him1

The sun has gone down a bit so I may go sit outside for a bit. The afternoon sun comes around to the backyard so it's usually later in the day before I can settle in my chair outside.

That's about it for my frolics of the day. Hope you've all had a good day and a pleasant night is awaiting you.

I've frolicked and I've eaten dinner, I absolutely couldn't wait for Eric to come home so I ate early.

The new fitness class was surprising.

My experience with my Coldwater Creek...the dress definitely showed as fitted on the website...the thing looked like a tent on me.

Hi everyone!
I had a busy day. Went to aerobics, forgot my wrist brace - and survived okay! It's sore now, but in a good way. I'm not sure what my physiotherapist would say about it all...but I had to make the call of either doing aerobics or not, and I'm glad to have stayed. Ran off to the grocers to make sure my family has some food for the weekend, went to the garden centre as I promised my daughter that we would plant some flowers together, then off to Home Depot. Scooted over to a girlfriends house to see her new puppy (gorgeous black lab!)and sip an iced tea before heading off to pick up the kids from school (our summer holidays dont start until June 30th and we go back in September). It's no 100 F here, but then again, we use the metric celcius, so it would be impossible to reach that temp! We were about 22C, don't know what that is in 'American' farenheit- tee hee! Let's say warm enough to be in shorts and a thicker t-shirt. Not quite tank top weather, but it is only spring...:) Spent some time down at the beach searching for sea glass with my daughter as my son played baseball. For those of you who don't know, sea glass is broken glass that has been tumbled and smoothed and almost frosted by the ocean waves pounding it against the sand. It's quite beautiful, and can be used for all sorts of crafts. It's like finding real treasure for the kids (and teh kids at heart!)! Hubby came home TWO hours earlier than usual. It has been at least a year or more since he has been home before five!! So great!! I hope this can happen more frequently...

I just found out my brother #2 and his family are coming from Amman, Jordan (the middle east) to visit with us back here in Victoria this summer. It's been two years since we've seen him and his family! (He has an international posting with the U.N and the Canadian Government, so we don't get to see him much.) We are all making tons of plans for their visit, so it'll go quick I'm sure and be packed with fun.

Tonight we are going to stay in and see a movie. Time to put the kiddies to bed. Tomorrow is my book club meeting. Always far too much wine and far too many tempting goodies!!! I will stay strong and selective! (Still on Phase 1 of South Beach diet - doing great! Feeling in control - YAY! Cravings are significantly subsiding and so are the strong feelings of needing a night snack. They are almost non-existent, which is AMAZING for me.

Have a great long weekend all of my American buddies! We had ours last weekend, so I can relate to all of the fun that is to be had!

We have sea glass at our beach here on the Atlantic Ocean side. Although there's not a lot where I go (I look for shark teeth), the beaches a few miles farther north seem to have more.

How wonderful that you'll get to see your brother and his family. You'll have lots to catch up on and probably such fun doing it.

Congratulations on doing so well with the SBD!

I can't sleep (again!), but I'm making great progress on my reading. I've been through "Alternative Medicine" and "Natural Health" and am into "Health". I've also found some neat products and services and have ordered 2 products that are highly recommended to combat fibromyalgia and emailed for information on a kind of food allergy testing that is used by some well known, highly respected drs. I also finally broke down and ordered a weighted hula hoop that I've been wanting for a couple of years. My mid-section is just way to big, so I'm hoping that will be a fun way to work it. www.sports-hoop.com/ I ordered the 3 lb., 41" diameter that is billed as the most popular one for beginners.

Can you tell I'm really desperate for some positive changes??
